Well a badly thought out plot device from over 3 years ago, actually.
And I'd rather have a body-switching communication device than two way travel to Earth by episode 5. I can see some potential in the body switcher for interesting storylines, just because it's 'sci fi tech' doesn't mean it cant be used thoughtfully. After all, the Stargate itself is a sci-fi tech plot device.
I find it funny how many people over at Gateworld don't want to watch SGU now because of this casting side. I personally think it's a great and unique idea for a story. I guess it illustrates the difference between Stargate fans and nuBSG fans, since nuBSG had shows dealing with rape and main characters with moral ambiguity and no one complained.
Haven't you visited the BSG forum here? There have been plenty of complaints about the moral ambiguity of BSG, how the characters are all disgusting and nobody can identify with them and why should I watch this depressing show about horrible people????

No, heterosexuality is the majority. Homosexuality feels completely normal to homosexual people, just as heterosexuality feels completely normal to heterosexual people. It should be the exact same thing, you allow heterosexual people to 'flaunt' their straight tendencies (kissing, holding hands etc.), you should allow homosexual people to 'flaunt' their gay tendencies (kissing, holding hands etc). It's not only a question of equality, but just basic common sense.

Actually it's more like 7%, and that's not even counting bisexual and bi-curious people which probably has an even higher than 7% figure.There's opposition to gay marriages because gay people are a minority and account for 7% of the world? I love people who don't know the facts, people who ID themselves as gay is around 7% I think, plus many many many MANY others have tried same sex. I have had sex with guys who have had kids.
Being gay is completely natural as proven in all the animal kingdoms.
And gay marriage and civil unions are supported with well over thta majority now. Maybe in your own little closet world where facts are just spread by the "main stream media!!!!" what you believe is actually fact, but in the real world what you believe is very very wrong.
Debates on homosexuality and its related tangents belong in TNZ where you can tell each other what you really feel.
