Eureka - Why Should I be Caring About Pregger Sister?

I don't really mind the sister. I thought she was a bit annoying at first, but I'm OK with her now.

And I personally like Tess, but then I've had a thing for Jaime Ray Newman for a while now. ;)

I liked the sister, better than the new girl they brought in who is a expert on aliens of something like that. She's to good looking to be taken seriously as a scientist. Scientist are supose to be old or nerdy looking.

Dr. Caroline Porco disagrees!

I seem to remember a lot of good looking female scientists in documentaries, so All he has there is a stereotype... which is what we deal in on this board.

I like the stereotype, because in this instance I think it's one of the few places in tv/ movie's were you can get normal looking people in roles of importance. I get tired of always seeing everyone on tv look like a model.

Watch more British TV.

they thinned out nathan's character then they start bringing in more people that did the same thing... eva thorne and and now tess. sigh...

The thing that really bugged me about the pregnant sister story was that she was determined to shut the father of her children out of their lives completely, and everyone (including the father) seemed to think she had the right to do so. Those babies are as much his children as hers, and whether she wants him around or not, he has every right to be a part of their lives. I wish they had at least made that point once. She had no right to put what amounted to an emotional restraining order on him, and I wanted to smack him for not standing up for himself.

There does seem to be a thread of batshit-craziness running thru that aspect of the show... what a horrible person she is. As my wife and I were watching her story line we were just agasp at the stupidity of it all and that a sheriff of all people would go along with it. I would have liked to see how it played out had she not told the dad and it finally went to court for custody rights... how would "Sheriff" Carter Justify it to a judge?!

Stupid writing... plain and simple... just like his sister.

They swaped one blonde for another, Lexi seems to have left with her boyfreind and around the same time they bring in Tess. Its as if they wanted a new love interest for Carter but obviously it could not be his sister so they swapped out and got Tess who he hooking up with.

Does anyone know if Ever Carradine was really pregnant in real life? If so, that may be why she is off now.

Um you know Nathan Stark is dead right.

And on that note does anyone else besides me think that sucks.

talking about the beginning of the season. it's why the actor quit. his character was thinned out. he was barely doing anything. then here they come bringing in multiple people who end up doing things that he would have.

yea i couldn't believe they killed someone on a feel-good show. however, it is eureka and people can come back in any number of ways. take kim for example. who knew we'd see her again, much less in an interesting capacity. hope they don't kill her again. poor henry, he's going to lose her again for the third time? >_<

I heard he ditched because they upped the order of episodes with out telling the actors, and he wasn't willing to commit to a steady job on someone elses terms... Which kinda makes sense, i mean if you worked at macDonalds and they told you that you were going to be working the next 12 week ends which you were supposed to have off on top of your usual commitment...

He's fair in True Blood.

During the wedding episodes I kept thnigking that Iron Man and Thor were doing it. :)

No, he left because he the character was "de-fanged"

http://www.visiteureka.net/interviews.html?i=21

VisitEureka.net - He was almost de-fanged.

Ed - He was. He was almost de-fanged. There's another analogy we can use, but de-fanged is probably the best one. (laughs) We'll leave it at that. So looking at that, it was challenging but we got through Season Two and in looking at Season Three, there was a lot up in the air on what was going to happen. Were they going to reinstate Stark the way he was in the first season, (which was at one point a possibility)? And then I got wind of the fact that no, they actually wanted to bring in new characters and Stark was not only going to remain the same, he wasn't even going to have a central story line for a couple seasons ... kinda become a secondary character. Well, I loved Eureka more than anything I ever worked on; I had the best experience but there was absolutely no hesitation in requesting Starks exit. It was time; the character was done. Eureka has been so good to me; the fans have been so good to me that my stock has kind of risen. There are great opportunities out there; great challenges that are presenting themselves. So to just hang around and be a periphery character on the show--it wasn't right for the character, not for Nathan Stark. He's at his best when he's stirring up trouble ... doing his best Darth Vader. (laughs)
