New voice of the ship's computer

no mulgrew. her voice is half the reason i never really got into 'voyager'.

i have always liked the idea of the computer's voice being female. an actress from some previous trek incarnation would be teh awesome.

would that be whiney bob dylan from back in his heyday, or gravelly bob dylan of today? personally, i like the latter. that would be hysterical. and why would the computer voice have to be perfect? in TOS it usually seemed to be yelling at them.

For me personally, i would love it if they could use Majel's voice. But that could present a problem if they didnt have a recording of her saying something really specific.

And, if Jennifer Lien gets the job i will have to stick something large and pointy into my ears! (sorry all you kes fans). Her voice makes me crazy (and not in a good way).

No, I don't agree. Majel did fine, fine work as the computer voice, but it's time to let her 'rest'. Move on.

I think Jennifer Lien would be a fine idea, actually. Assuming she would want to return to Trek after being unceremoniously dumped from VOY...

I like the woman who did the computer voice in the new movie (where Majel's voice wasnt used). I believe M'Sharak posted a link to her work, in another thread. If you listen to her and all the work she has done, you'd be amazed!

I'm not so much a Kes fan, but Jen. Lien's voice is the pleasantest speaking voice ever in Trek.

I confess that I never would have thought of her, but Jennifer Lien does have a fabulous voice. The voice used in the new(ish ) movie was really nice, too.
