I think I'm in love with my best friend!

So, Season 1 had a Dawson's Creek/One Tree Hill vibe

Season 2 had Orange County vibe.

Season 3 had a Desperate Housewives vibe.

I can't guess with Season 4. Too early. I'm sure it'll be odd. As they say in Yorkshire, I believe, "There's nowt as queer as folk".
With the "older woman" and the two young children "Chuck" and "Lisa", you could throw in a Dexter vibe into season 3 too.

Yeah, it's been said before, but in 50 years when we look back on the awesomeness that is the MadBaggins Thread, we will decide that this was the definitive moment at which the shark was jumped. If he's jumped before, he is now jumping all the sharks at once.

That being said, glad to have you back, MadBaggins!

This season looks to be... interesting.

But, honestly, after the way last season went, and ended, it was probably expected.

MadBaggins Creek is also expected to come out on Blu-Ray this Christmas!

See the incest and male-on-male fellatio in HD!

Hopefully this one will be better than season two which was a real bummer. I quite enjoyed seasons one and three, though.

It's kind of like 24. Season One was so epic and classic each season has had to "crank up the stakes" to keep it interesting.

I missed out on the first three seasons. I'm a little concerned that season four won't live up to the hype.

I'm glad the DVD editions come with the Squiggy commentary. Makes the episodes twice as fun to watch. Now, I wonder if some time ion the future, there'll be some sort of director's cut edition...with behind the scenes commentary by Baggins himself!

Now, as for my advice MB (weren't those the initials givin to Major Barcalow from years back?), it's perfectly normal to feel love for someone, and have no sexual attraction to them what so ever. It comes a lot of the time from interacting with someone on a close level for a long period of time. On the road, it was just the two of you, so of course your friendship is going to grow, and you'll be accustomed to the other person being there. I've found that similar feelings (although no where near as severe as you describe), occur in myself during and after a stage production, or a big choir concert. It's just a matter of how close you feel to those around you. If I act in a scene with another person, regardless of sex, and we've been through that scene dozens of times, a certain intimacy develops. I know I can trust the other person to carry on if I flub a line or something, and they place the same trust in me. You depend on one another. Now, I've never had the urge to sleep with any of my fellow thespians, but I quite a few of them have found a place in my heart. They're fantastic people, and are some of those closest to me, with all the trust that's been built up. I suspect a similar thing is happening to you, with Thames.

If you do feel a sexual attraction to him, well, that's fine too, but before you do anything that could endanger your friendship with him, make sure that it's worth it. I've become heavily attracted to several female friends, but only on occasion have I acted on those feelings, for the good of our relationship. Sometimes, things are better left unsaid and not acted-upon. Am I making sense?

(Yes, I understand the traditional response to an MB thread is something sarcastic, and witty, but I actually wanted to pipe in the genuine advice before my sense of humor got the better of me)

Wow..

Uhhhhhh..

Uhhhhhhhhhhhhh..

Squiggy giving out Dark Ages sexual tips...

I'm speechless...
can't think of anything...

not enough brain cleanser in the universe for the mental images...

I'm off to get shock treatment...

or to get drunk...
or something..

Dear God. I just read the first season in one go and now I think my mind's broken. I've never seen anything quite like it on the Internet. I don't even know if I can use the Internet anymore. It was just...just...I think I need someone to hold me.

And yet, I still need to know if he ever hooked up with Bat Brother. Save me. Please.

Honestly, the writers killed any credibility or interest several seasons ago. The characters are weak, the bad puns and intentional mis-spellings take you out of the "drama", and continuity is all shot to hell. And you can see the 'big twist' coming a mile away. How long before we get the "very special MadBaggins episode" where he makes a move on Thames, Thames is suprised and they start to fight, but then that leads to hot butsecks? 1 week? 2 weeks?

Worst is the ability to tell time, or remember that you can't leave for 12 hours and then progress the story 2 weeks. Or end a season, and then come back 2 months later, but start the backstory "6 months earlier", which would have been during the height of the previous drama! If you're going to overlap the stories, gotta sprinkle in the characters ahead of time, so you can come back to them when needed. Can't just keep retconning things in, like pretending you met the 'mother' character while you were in the midst of the original incest-orgy.

Then again, it's a slow period and there's nothing else on, so I'll watch for now. But just like Heroes, I can't bring myself to care about any of it anymore, so it's just habit and lack of options...
