Just finished showing my Son "Logan's Run" and...

He totally spotted the extra doing the Vulcan salute in the final crowd scene!!! I didn't say a word, and he caught it!:techman::rommie:

My boy's a Hard-Core Trekker.

And think- that was back in '75, BEFORE the explosion of conventions, movies & new series, that dude had to be on the cutting edge of radical fanism!;)

Should you be showing your son Logan's Run? He's obviously very observant, and if you're over 30, it might give him ideas...

awww ...how old is he?

After seeing Logan's Run, I developed the idea that I would be dead by age 30-35. It may be the reason I volunteered for combat duty. It would be years later that I realized where the idea came from originally.

Way to go! You must be very proud. I still can't get my son to even watch an episode of Star Trek.

He's almost 11. He likes Star Wars and Lord of the Rings, so it's not all bad.
Maybe try igniting the Trek flame with the new movie?
Or tell him that Kirk is like a Han Solo in Starfleet?

Or show him Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey, and say, "Hey, wanna see the actual show they were watching?" Then put on "Arena.":techman:

EDIT: MY Son says tell him he'll regret not watching it in the future, and if that doesn't work, strap him down to a chair with a seatbelt & make him watch.
Hmmm...I dunno...

Has your son been watching "A Clockwork Orange" perchance?

Ha, my son is only 13 Months Old and his head pops up when the theme tune to Voyager starts. He's learning early I tell ye... :D

I tried "forcing/encouraging" him to watch some classic Twilight Zone episodes. He rebelled by deleating the few episodes I had DVR'd.
Yes, he has a mind of his own!

He did, though, like the new movie. He just isn't interested in the show. :(

Serously, I want him to cultivate his own interests. I just would love to be able to share my love of Star Trek with my kids.

Rock on. eagle-eyed youngster. Rock on.
