Two black labs, a few chocolates do they very rarely make.

It's a wonder they had 3/7th yellows really.

Yeah I was curious how that all worked and read about the genetics that go into the fur coloring. You I imagine know some of this stuff, but for anyone else that thinks its interesting...

It's possible to get all three colors from uniform colored parents depending on what genes they carry.

Hope one doesn't turn out to be a 'Marley'. I had dogs until a few years ago. When the last one died, I just never got another one. Now I'm in a condo with two gerbils and a guinea pig. I never thought I'd like that type of pet but I love them!

Having just lost one of my family's black labs a few days ago at 15 years, I find the puppy pictures a bit bittersweet. Especially the one with the pink and blue collars....those are the colors my dogs wore. Now only pink remains.

As much as I enjoyed the puppy stage I'm glad mine are rounding the corner to adulthood. As puppies when they were noisy it was "What are they up to now?" but when it was quiet I didn't have to ask - I KNEW they were up to something!

Now they snuggle up instead of trying to bit my hand all the time.
