RE 1 is not going to be remade again.

They are rereleasing the Gamecube version on the Wii though I don't even know if they added Wii controls or just require you to use a Gamecube controller.

Actually if the iPhone version of RE4 sells well I wouldn't be surprised if they start remaking the other games for iPhone.

I know but it's not being remade, it's just being ported to another console.


@Jax: I hope you have more fun with Zero than I did. I hate both characters, the leeches were a stupid. annoying idea and the game itself was boring.

Seriously though, I lvoed RE Zero for one primary reason. It felt like a throwback to the good old days of RE1. Theres just something so awesome about exploring spooky old mansions. It's too bad that it's probably going to be the last resident evil of its kind

I really hated having no item boxes. That was probably one of the most frustrating things to have to go back and get something if I dropped it off to make room for something else I needed.

I found the entire game to be bland. The colours, the levels, the music, the characters, the enemies.....it just wasn't doing anything for me at all.

You know what would be really sweet? If they released a DLC character pack so you could play the game as Jill. True she kicks ass in mercs, but I wanna play as her through the game. Though, that would probably make that one fight pretty weird.

That was probably my biggest issue in the game. It was awesome that Jill was in RE5 but more than anything else, I want to play as her

I thought this thread was fine and I didn't need to start a new one just to continue the discussion, more or less, mods, let me know if you disagree.

Anyway, onto the topic. I picked RE5 back up after not playing it for a while, wanted to try out the new DLC from a couple months back.

What do I come to realize? That I now suck at Mercs. Out of practice, need to work at it again.

Anyway, I haven't tried the new storyline stuff yet, but I've played the new Mercs with the bonus characters, fun stuff!

And to think, I had almost forgotten how much I love this game!

So anyone else try out the new DLC for RE5?

I plan on dling the new DLC sometime soon. Its a matter of finding the time though. From what I've read, one of the DLCs is sort of a "return to the roots" type thing, with atmosphere similar to the original Resident Evils. That sort of has me excited since I do miss the old school Resident Evil atmosphere

Since my last post, I've since played both DLC levels, both are awesome.

One is more like a continuation of the RE5 style, while ya, the other level is a return to the old school RE atmosphere, they're both worth the money.

i love playing the gold edition with the 2 new episodes, she is wicked with the episode you can play as her
