Please HELP. It's off the SyFy Channel (U.S.) schedule

The entire series can be bought for $322, $46 a season. More than half of the price they first came out at.

Still fairly expensive for recordings of a TV show.

For $325 you get 178 episodes (plust the DVD extras) in better quality than your local cable provider can provide, minus commercials and any banner, dancy, flashy ads your local station runs during the show.

That's less than $2 per episode, BTW.

And, yes, that's more than half the price they were when the first came out -during which time I gladly paid full price (well sale price at Best Buy during their first week of release.)

I'd say that's a fairly good deal to get a show as classic as TNG and the ability to watch it and any episode you want any time you want.

Well, channels like Spike TV and Sci-Fi, buy rights ti ari re-run in advance ,for a certain amount of time (Spike made a deal for each spin off series to run certain lengths). It could be Sci-Fi finally ran it's contract out.

And so we are asking them-

PLEASE PUT IT BACK ON THE SCHEDULE.

I don't know if this helps anyone outside Canada and this may sound like a dumb suggestion but bear with me. In Canada, at least in BC there is a channel called Space Network. It shows all 4 series and 5 days a week at least (not too sure about the weekends.) TNG is in the 7th season and I am not sure if they will continue it afterwords, but maybe you can get the channel through your provider? I'm not sure how all that stuff works but it was just a thought.

Yep -- we Canadians are very lucky!!! Space airs all of the Trek series!!!

According to the current schedule up at syfy.com, TNG's Monday night showings end with the month of August, and the show isn't anywhere else on the schedule either (as of September).

Please don't let this happen.

This will be the third time in a row that a channel running TNG has cut out without running the entire series. SPIKE, G4, and now SYFY have all gone without running the entire series from start to finish. (Okay, SPIKE had it for years, but they never finished the last run.)

PLEASE, if you're in the U.S., write a friendly e-mail to feedback@syfy.com and ask them to put TNG back on the schedule, and to pick up where the Monday night run left off. (All we'd need is for it to start up again at the beginning, and STILL get pulled before getting to the end of year seven.)

Come on guys. Don't let TNG die on SyFy.

It's better this way... SyFy has proven without fail, that it has NO idea what good TV is, or should be. It was LUCKY that BSG graced it for so long, as well as TNG. Everything else on that epic fail channel is total schlock, and not even worth watching. Now I don't have anymore reason to inflict the SyFy channel on myself.

^ Since I can no longer edit TNG starts on MyNetworkTV in September. It'll air at 11:00pm. I believe that it said September 7 is the first day on the advertisement.

I haven't watch 'syfy' in years, and recently the only thing I came back for was TNG. Why allow the series to go to late night syndication again when the DVDs are affordable? Why would anyone watch late when they can just say f that and rent or buy? 'syfy' is missing the boat by not keeping TNG and other treks on at convenient times. They jerk Enterprise all around, too. And I have those DVDS, so I don't even bother.

Exactly! I already have the entire TNG on dvd.. Being a TNG fan and growing up with the series, the DVD set is a must have for me. Its defiinitely worth it.. Love the menus and the bonus features too... Get it while its still available... >>> http://www.amazon.com/Star-Trek-Nex...ef=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1253795189&sr=8-1

On another note, I'm currently saving up to get the entire series of DS9.. I never got around to seeing a single episode of DS9 when it first aired in 1993.. Probably becoz I was too much into TNG at that time... Well I did maybe watched the debut, Emissary, which I can't remember much of except for the meeting between Sisko and Picard. Either way, its abt time I started watching DS9, so I will definitely be getting it soon..

I've never cared for DS9. My husband was just getting int TNG through the sfc airings. He might buy me TNG on DVD as a gift at some point or rent what he likes from netflix. I have to see, is TNG available on Instant Watch? IF 'syfy' is going to screw current viewers, maybe they could set up an old school on demand library of classic programs. Surely they are losing money with dvds and hulu and the like. Yeah, why isn't TNG on hulu?

Hell, I've got all of Trek on DVD (TOS, TNG, DS9, VOY and ENT.)

TNG was the first TV series I bought on DVD (and had originally planed on buying on DVD) and I loved buying it I'd long and ache for the next season to come out and I about creamed myself with joy when my favorite season -3- came out on DVD.
