Looks awfully damn awesome to me.
Whiplash seems to be building his suit himself. I thought he was going to arise from corporate espionnage on behalf of Hammer, but considering that Hammer seems to be working on War Machine, perhaps the relationships won't be what one expects.

He's still listed as a producer on a bunch of upcoming Marvel projects (including Iron Man 2), but he actually resigned from Marvel Studios in 2006 and founded his own production company.
I have a feeling that later on, Hammer recruits Whiplash or something similar.

I'm hoping soon. If I recall from the last movie, the first glimpses were at SDCC, then I think around Christmas time we got our first trailers... I think. I recall a couple of short trailers and then a BIG trailer around the Super Bowl.
I was kinda surprised we didn't see a trailer with G.I. Joe, since Paramount both releases that and Iron Man 2. The film does come out in May. Usually the first trailer to a summer blockbuster is released a year before or somewhere around that timeframe. However there are still plentiful other films for Iron Man 2 to be attached to before the year is out (Sherlock Holmes, Avatar).
If Marvel is contiuing in the Ultimate Marvel vein (and it seems they are) then it's a bit of both.
Looks as if the arc reactor is doing something to Tony's body, seen at 3:18 on the video. To me, it looks like it's making "fault lines" or something on his chest. Maybe alcohol+arc reactor=bad times?

There's nothing especially Ultimate about the Iron Man films, apart from Jackson (and that's because he's a big movie star).
One imagines Black Widow will be a villain and then switch sides near the end, as she did in the comics.
My guess is Hammer or someone else infects Tony.
Probably to get Stark out of the way so that War Machine could be America's top line of defense.
Then armies and other nations will call Hammer to supply them with more Iron Men
Tony makes the triangle arch reactor at the end ushering in the Mark V.
Although it's been called into question since one of the key scenes with the new triangular uni-beam (the missile scene, supposedly part of the final fight sequence) is shown in the leaked trailer as being the regular Mk4 circle.
Whether it was placeholder CG or they scrapped the triangular armor remains to be seen.
