So, after opening a few threads that focused on the negative aspects of ENT and Star Trek, I decided to open one in which we discuss things we loved about our show.

There's a poll, but mostly for fun. If you feel that something got left out, speak up! I've listed 15 things people usually love about ENT, and you can pick your favorite!

I tried voting for more than one option and it only credited me with the shallow one >: (

The NX herself. Whether fresh out of Dry Dock, or suffering battle damage from Romulan mines or Xindi-Reptillian/Insectoid forces. Trip must've finally made good on painting that giant bullseye on the hull...

Took me a while, but I finally got my grappler online and reeled in one of these. :p

*koff* Ahem... I love a lot of things on that list... Naturally I went straight to The One.

Would like to have been able to vote for a couple of others...
The design of the NX-01
Shran
and you forgot Porthos (or maybe you didn't ... :shifty:)

I would gladly vote for everything and everyone on the list, but since it has to be only one, it is the one and only Trip Tucker;)

Yeah, we can only vote on one option. :o
Damn, is it really possible that I forgot to check the 'multiple choice' box? :wtf:
Can the mods fix this?
Sorry, dude. No can change poll options once the poll has been posted. Welcome to the I Screwed Up A Poll Club! ;)

You can always re-do the poll (double-checking all the options, natch). I might even be able to move some of these posts into the new one. I never tried it before, but theoretically, it is within my awesome mod powers. Folks will have to vote again on their own, tho.

This is a very difficult pole but I voted “Trip Tucker! Nuff said!” While I liked almost everything about the series and the entire cast, Connor Trinneer created one of the best Star Trek characters ever. IMO, Tucker was Enterprise. To top it off, Trinneer seems like a great guy (for the 30 seconds that I spoke to him this weekend). I would like to comment on your other choices.

The NX-01 itself – They did a great job of designing that ship. Exactly what I would have expected from early deep space travel
It felt more "real" compared to other Treks – Absolutely correct.
The characters felt more human then ever before in Trek – I enjoyed each of them, even if a few were under utilized.
Jonathan Archer - Kirk's childhood hero! – My favorite Captain in the franchise.
Her Royal Hotness - T'Pol of VulcanYou stole my line!!!! I expect compensation. My second favorite character in the series
The pure genius that is Hoshi Sato – What’s not to like?
Reed. Malcolm Reed. – Another under utilized guy. I met him in person and he rocks.
Dr. Phlox - a benign weirdo – Also had the pleasure of meeting him this weekend. Very talented man
Shran kicked so much ass! – We should have seen more of him.
The Xindi arc! – Loved Season Three! It contains some of the best Star Trek ever produced.
The Vulcan arc! – That was pretty cool.
Romulan agenda! – We should have had more of this!
Season IV being a true prequel to Trek we know and love – What we should have seen in Season One.

Meh, I'll just edit the OP. I guess that's vBulletin for you. The board where I do the moderating uses phpBB 3.0 and I can edit pretty much whatever I can imagine. Moving posts from one thread to another is something we do on a regular basis there...

Her Royal Hotness - T'Pol of VulcanYou stole my line!!!! I expect compensation.
I just borrowed it :D

Anyway, it's a great line, your second best (Your No.1 being the one about "taking your eyes out with a spoon")

Oh, this is hard. Guess I will vote for the NX01. I wanted to vote for "The Vulcan/Andorian saga" but that is not there. I love how the handled the Vulcans and the Andorians beginning with The Andorian Incident and ending with the Vulcan Trilogy.

Edit: I went for "Characters felt more human" even though two of my favorite characters were not human. I'll just go with "I liked the characters". :)

I wanted to vote for all (Except Mayweater, but he's a prop), but since I can pick only one I picjed the Xindi arc.

Trip is wonderful but T'pol was amazing.

The Xindi arc was interesting.

I was never thrilled with the way Vulcan character/Vulcan civilization were portrayed in Enterprise (especially the Vulcan/Andorian conflict, even though Carbon Creek is one of my fave eps) but the Vulcan arc was pretty well done too. I decided at that point to heck with it (years of TOS and book fandom) and just go with the flow.

Hoshi! Also the sets and some of the visual effects, like that episode Rogue Planet where the ship was all dark on the outside. That was cool.

It was the closest in spirit and execution to modern-day humans and our cultural affectations and habits. It felt more "real" than any other TREK since TOS.

^Yeah. Another thinb that made it feel more real for me is that they hardly ever encountered non-corporeal beings/omnipotent being/the captain gets copied stuff.

Yeah, with the exceptions of the noncorporeal "wisp" beings from "The Crossing" and the Organians in "Observer Effect" I think all the aliens encountered in ENT were solid/corporeal. More or less.
