I say go for broke and have a sloppy, drunken Britney Spears play Batgirl. They could call her "Britgirl". If the goal is to totally destroy the next film, then that is what they should do. And Carrot-top could be the new, "Hipper" Alfred, also. It can't miss, I tells 'ya.....

The only way I see this working any at all is for the little girl to be kidnapped early on, and the film's frame is her older self, soon ready to don the tights, remembering how the city was as it turned on its hero.
A way even the dreaded R-person could work : Dick is orphaned by the events of the next film. And then throughout the series--he is a kid. That's all. Maybe Alfred muses that he'll eventually need an 'outlet' for his rage, and Bruce responds : "Not on my watch."

I dunno about the idea of "Batgirl" in this particular version, though she'd be more suitable a character than "Robin." That said, I think Cyrus is talented and likeable and could probably do a good job with this.

Even though this rumor is probably complete bullshit, in the comics, isn't post-Crisis Babs Gordon's niece/adopted daughter (who later turns out to be his real daughter when it is revealed he had an affair with his brother's wife or something like that)? If (and I stress the "if") they did bring in Batgirl, it wouldn't break any continuity from the previous movies necessarily.
That's pretty funny. As if the little girl Gordon's wife is clutching in her arms as Two-Face threatens her family in the final scene of "The Dark Knight" could grow up to be Batgirl only one movie later. Ridiculous. They should just resurrect Two-Face and have the whole movie be about Batgirl trying to get revenge on him, while they're at it. Then The Riddler (Eddie Murphy) and Catwoman (Cher) can team up with Two-Face so it's three on two against Batman and Batgirl.

she'd make a far more interesting Supergirl. yes, I think Supergirl should be in a batman movie.
besides, the whole secret identity wig thing is what her entire TV show is about, I've only seen one episode and at the time i thought it was called "Uncledad",so switching between Linda Lee and Supergirl would be familiar to her audience.

No way, dude. The Batgirl episodes in the '60s series were some its most entertaining ones. She really freshened that show up.
The Animated Series of the 90s, however, did seem to dip in quality about the time she became a regular, but I think that was mostly for other reasons.

i thought so too during the first 12 to 15 viewings of the entire run before I was 10 years old. but with a more mature eye on the prize, she was just tottie brought in to desperately bump up the ratings, and the same montage they used, with the same music every time she transformed... was that stock footage? How much money did that save them?
It's not that batgirl is bad, it's just when everything else is bad, it's the first life preserver they grab for. it's not like you would say that since every time a building burns down it's obviously the fire departments fault since they are always there spraying water on the building.
