Rare Photos for August 2009! Check 'em Out!

Check out this months Rare Photos!  :techman: ;)

EDIT: For the time being, view them with the File Index: http://www.trekcore.com/specials/albums/rare/article23/

The below Gallery is currently non-functional due to a site error.

My favorites:

Top row, center: previously unseen behind the scenes photo of J.J. Abrams and Simon Pegg from Star Trek XI.

Fourth row, left: rare variant publicity photo of Captain Kirk -- this shot is a variant from the same photo shoot as the one used as the basis for the Hallmark ornament.

Fifth row, center: the awesome De Kelley I mentioned last month; the photo was taken by Leonard Nimoy's son in law during the shooting of the film. The sepia-tone isn't an effect I added.

Fifth row, right: Patrick Stewart and Alfre Woodard share a laugh while filming for the holodeck scene of Star Trek First Contact.

Page 2,
First row, right: Lieutenant LaForge takes command of the battle bridge.

Third row, center: Leonard Nimoy as Spock in Star Trek XI.

Third row, right: Rejected publicity photo of RDM as Lieutenant Tom Paris.

Fourth row, left: work-place tension? or just a hands-on director? LOL

Also getting this message when following the link. When I go to the TrekCore home page, the 'Rare Photos' link returns the same message as above, but I also see this at the top of the home page:

Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: Cannot send session cookie - headers already sent by (output started at /home/trekcore/public_html/libconfig.php:1) in /home/trekcore/public_html/index.php on line 2

Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: Cannot send session cache limiter - headers already sent (output started at /home/trekcore/public_html/libconfig.php:1) in /home/trekcore/public_html/index.php on line 2
and again at the top of the Headlines section.

Add me to the list. The last time this happened the site was down for several months, during which time they changed their name from Trek Pulse to Trek Core. Hopefully they'll get it going again.

Damn thing,

We're looking into it folks. It's likely just some little error that's cropped up. Damn timing though, eh?

If you're really impatient you can check them out here http://www.trekcore.com/specials/albums/rare/article23/

Yeah, there you go, folks. You have to click each image to see, but, it's a work-around.

See, the webmasters are both roaming nomads, out back-packing across the world, and the guy who fixed the front page error, he was in bed by the time I told him the other sections.

Sigh.

In the meantime, Frontier, I'll be looking at your avatar!!

Sadly, they're making me take it down for some reason. Don't see why; all naughty bits are obscured. :p

Ah well, can't fight city hall.

They should have left Rand's hair the way it is in the promo's... looks much better.

I love the one of Gene and the ship!

Is it just me, or does he look... sad? A sort of longing in the eyes.

Sigh, this has come up before. He was just striking a pose.

Why does everybody read so much into that photo?

Because, neither of us is Gene Roddenberry. Thus we where not privy to his thoughts at that moment in time. Thus we can never really know for sure, now, can we? ;)

No we can't. But it still looks to me like we was just striking a pose.
