More Trivia.....

A new trivia question for Trexperts

There are only 3 episodes where other Enterprise crewmember(s) leave the ship and Kirk DOESN'T.

1 is easy, the second is a little harder and the last is kinda tough.

Good luck.

The Naked Time, The Galileo Seven, and The Immunity Syndrome. That's it? Really? Or did I misunderstand the question?

Okay, who can name the five episodes in which Kirk is not on the Enterprise at any time during the duration of the show?

^^Great counter-point trivia.

All our yesterdays
Paradise syndrome
Requiem for....
whom gods destroy
plataos stepchildren

???

All 3rd season where the only thing that really mattered was the 'big 3'

New trivia question....

Besides the 'big 3', in each of the 3 seasons, what supporting character had the most times 'off the ship' ??

Lt Leslie??

Doesn't requiem have the last Act on board the E.. the "..forget.." scene? What about Devil in the Dark?

"All Our Yesterdays" is the obvious one; there's not a single shipboard scene in the entire episode. "Metamorphosis," "The Paradise Syndrome," "Plato's Stepchildren," and "Whom Gods Destroy."

It's actually six, since Kirk wasn't in "The Cage" at all.

(Sorry, Grant, "Requiem for Methuselah" is wrong. Its final scene is in Kirk's quarters. And johcomp, the final scene of "Devil in the Dark" is on the bridge.)

How could I have forgotten the 'forget' scene ?? great scene!

Metamorphosis. The scenes on the shuttle tricked my mind into thinking him 'aboard ship'

Great question------please let's have more.

A long while back it was asked what was Nichols & Koenig's first true 'location' shoot in Trek. Actual outdoor shoot. No one got it. If no-one gets it quick I'll answer it this afternoon.

Sorry, i meant supporting characters with speaking parts. I always refer to speaking parts as I don't follow the non-speaking extras that close.

Well, I would say it has to be a toss up between Scotty and Chekov..... I'll go with Cheekoo...sorry Chekov.

Remember, the question is, "Besides the 'big 3', in each of the 3 seasons, what supporting character had the most times 'off the ship' ??" So that means three answers are required, one for each season.

For season 1, probably Sulu. He was off the ship in "The Enemy Within," "Shore Leave," "The Squire of Gothos," "Tomorrow is Yesterday," "The Return of the Archons," and "This Side of Paradise."

For season 2, it would be Scotty, in "Catspaw," "Friday's Child," "Who Mourns for Adonais," "The Doomsday Machine" (if another ship counts), "Wolf in the Fold," "Mirror, Mirror," "The Deadly Years," "I, Mudd," and "The Trouble with Tribbles."

For season 3, it's Chekov, in "Spectre of the Gun" (if you accept that they ever left the ship at all), "Spock's Brain," "Day of the Dove," and "The Way to Eden."

^^Right on season 1
Right on season 2
Right on season 3 I also list Tholian Web as being off the Enterprise although that is certainly a technicality.

The first 'real' location shoot for Koenig/Nichols was Occidental college at the end of trek 3, but it sure comes off as not all the real to my eye at least. It seems they could just have easily used a set for that.

Friday's Child is the only time Doohan got to go 'on location'....during the series, that is.
