Monday Puzzle #2: "I hope you're all taking notes..."

Zulu Romeo

World Famous Starship Captain
Admiral
I am worried.

One of my closest online friends, a mysterious contact known only by the username "Codename E", has gone missing and has not contacted me for months. I had suspected that this strange person was always up to something dodgy, and had suddenly been found out and gone on the run from whatever authorities were involved. My suspicions were raised when after several months I was sent an e-mail, which read: "My dear Ravescene, Got to run. Find me. 'E'" It was not until several weeks after that fateful e-mail, that I suddenly realised what had happened...

One hot summer's morning, I received a parcel in the post containing two objects - an elementary school textbook, and a CD, "The Best of Disco". I put on the record, went to the kitchen to fetch a jug of water, and idly flicked through the book, only to notice a slip of paper fall out. It was a series of seven sets of numbers with the unmistakeable handwriting of Codename E!

42 11 27
85 2 7 16
52 1 88 7
16 49 31 84 75
67 102 71 71
6 1 53 6 47 8
3 51 8 7
Sitting down in my armchair with my CD player playing Earth Wind and Fire, water jug in one hand and textbook in another, I pondered the events of the last few months, looked at the numbers carefully, and all of a sudden realised what Codename E's entire itinerary was.

What were the destinations?

Send me your answers by PM only - do not post them in this thread. Codename E's very survival depends on our maintaining this secrecy.

Mind you, I'll still reveal the answers probably late on Friday. ;)

ack! more numbers!

I don't either. I spent the last 15 minutes trying to find something that'd do it on-line. Nothing seemed to work.

I don't think that's it anyway.

I have to listen to Disco to do this puzzle, don't I? :(

(sent my answer in; much much simpler than the last one - my brain thanks you! It would have fit better with the theme of the puzzle if there'd been 8 destinations though ;) )

puzzles should only need your brain to solve . . .
no clue where to start on this one either

I think I'm just going to add all the numbers up.

The sum will equal the number of times I hit Zee over the head with a toothbrush.

Does this involve having to listen to a CD of Earth Wind and Fire?........ whatever that is.
If it will inspire you solve the puzzle, go right ahead. I'm not saying it's the right way or the wrong way.

7 is a nice round number, though. So is zero, in fact. :D

Am I the first who got it? :D
No. Sorry. :p The honour of submitting the first correct answer goes to Jadzia. :D

But Laren, you did get the puzzle right, as well as trampledamage, CmdrAJD and Holdfast. Well done, all five of you. :)

(Hmmm... I think I might have made it too easy this week...)

I'm gettin' nowhere right now...

EDIT:

53 / 20 7 / 27 15 39 / 39 8 92 :p
