At this point, they should just make Rainbow 6 already and cast someone good as Ding.
I'm surprised they haven't yet, and I wonder why. Given the popularity of the games and the fact that a terrorism fighting special forces group would seem very apropos in today's world, I'm not sure how why Hollywood as not done this yet. I'd much rather see a Rainbow Six movie than another Jack Ryan one.
It would interesting to think who would play who with an RS movie. It would need a strong Clark as well. I liked Dafoe and Schrieber, but I wonder who would do better.

I hated that about Sum of All Fears. As much as I hate all things Affleck, the movie wasn't that bad, but seriously Nazis trying to become a world power again? Maybe Rainbow Six can have British terrorists hoping to revive the British Empire!

Didn't one of the Netforce novels have an English Lord trying to do something along those lines? (It's been a while, so I may be forgetting exactly)
As for casting, I seem to remember hearing a rumour about Without Remorse being planned and a possible casting of Joachim Phoenix as John Kelly/Clark.
^ Actually, I remember in the mid-90s, there was talk of filming WR. But although Defoe had just played Clark in Clear and Present Danger, the names in the fray then were Keanu Reeves (post Speed), Gary Sinise (post Forrest Gump) and Christian Slater (post, er, hangover?).
