Well... I screwed the poll title up but you get the picture...

I did this about a year ago... just wanted to see the results this year! It's going to be a little bit different. Pick one NL team and one AL team if it applies. Don't just make anything up. ;)

I thought about picking a secondary team, but I realized I don't like any team enough for that.

So I'll be a Phillies Phan for life.

Only voted for the Phils, but if I had to make a list of 'teams other than the Phillies that I don't mind having success' it would look something like this:

San Francisco Giants (because I'm friends with Goji)
Detroit Tigers (because I'm friends with Commander Vaughn)
Baltimore Orioles (because I'm friends with Shane M.)

I chose the Phillies (since I live in Philly, and generally hope they have success) and of course the BOSTON RED SOX.

You all know what my favorite teams are. ;)

(and in case not: My favorite team of all time is the Yankees. I also like the Mets, which I find no problem with, as interleague play is relatively rare. Hey, they're both New York teams, so I like 'em both!)

I only voted for the Red Sox since I think it's silly to have multiple "favorite" teams. But I also like the Cubs (gotta support the other "cursed" team, even if mine isn't "cursed" anymore) and the Mariners (I was living in Alaska in the early/mid-90s when Griffey, A-Rod, etc. were there, and they were the closest thing we had to a home team up there).

I also like any team that beats the Yankees. :p

I only picked one team, which my avatar gives away, but the American League team is the A's. The suck though.

Colorado Rockies! During childhood pretty much the only reason to leave town, besides relatives, was to go to Denver and watch them play. Or Tuscon to see spring training. Oh, I love the Rockies!! Last time I saw them play was Game Three of the World Series in 2007. It was very sad, but also amazing that they had made it to the World Series.

Rangers of course, for I am a glutton for punishment. All I want is one lousy playoff series win, is too much to ask? Please don't fall a part in the second half!

My NL team is the Dodgers. That's probably because many of my father's and uncle's generation grew up rooting for the Dodgers, and thus I like the Dodgers too. This comes about from when the Dodgers would come to D/FW (mainly FW) and play exhibition games in the 50's, well before Texas had a professional baseball team. Even the Dodgers are a big draw themselves, there are still many here who came to watch them play the Rangers when the Dodgers came this year.

BTW, if I picked teams I don't mind, they'd all be AL teams. Probably the Ms and the Os, while I go back and forth on the Red Sox (my entire extended family likes them, so it's hard to hate them).

Picked the Twins for AL (and overall fave) and the Brewers for the NL. I used to hate the Brewers when they were in the AL, but now that they're no longer competing directly with the Twins, I'll root for them.

Still hoping for a Twins/Brewers World Series.

I'll give everyone one guess as to my favorite team...

That park you guys got there is some kind of beautiful. I love the fact that it's right on the shoreline. Must make it a mission to go there one day.

Definitely. I've gone to many different Ballparks around the country and AT&T is still my favorite. I'd recommend it's one of the first places to visit (And maybe take in a game) if you come to SF.
