I don't know; the dozen reasons I gave for why I attended Shore Leave this year for the first time ever can't possibly be helpful to them.How's about the committee surveying us to get programming ideas, not for marketing info?
If the HVI wants to feed us crappy hot dogs and cold fries they should cut the prices in half because then we won't complain about the lousy food.

I thought I had paid for the 'net a few years ago. And it wasn't a great deal, as I didn't go on that much.
I went on even less this year (of course a TrekBBS crisis happened when I was on vacation) but mostly I was checking my mail and reading blogs.
Part of the enjoyment of being a poster and not a mod is not having to deal with the sometimes annoying crap that one must deal with behind-the-scenes to keep the board pleasant for the regular posters.
Translation: Nothing salacious. Mundane (if annoying) decision-making.
