Today in the cupid thread, we got a little side discussion of posters who we don't have a crush on, but think are really awesome and would like to meet.

Now we do have a meetups forum, but, since everyone lives all over the country, we're a bit limited. But, if that wasn't the case and you could meet anyone, who would be on your list?

I've met JuanBolio, but he's been a real life friend of mine for a lot longer than TrekBBS has existed, so he doesn't count.

I've met exodus, who was high on my list, so that was fun.

The person at the top of my list, J. Allen, I had the pleasure of meeting a little over a year ago.

A month ago, I tried arranging a meeting with TorontoTrekker, but it didn't work out because of several factors, so we'll have to do that one.

This isn't a complete list, but I'd like to meet Garak, ShamelessMcBundy, doubleohfive, Jayson, Crash, flamingliberal, and DsZ.

That being said, I'd like to meet everyone I can. I enjoy meeting new people and socializing. Sadly, meet-ups that I can get to are seriously lacking in being existant.

I have a feeling that we would get into soooo much trouble. Your husband might be forced to bail us and the farm animals out of jail. And count me in on that Daniel Craig kidnapping. I could meet CD (which would be awesome) too.

I would also like to meet jgc, 005 (for a hug), Squiggy (for a quick grope), Snow, OracZin and tsq. Actually there are so many that I can't list them all.

I've always wanted to meet SpacemanSpiff. He seems like a seriously cool dude (and he only lives about an hour and a half away).

Most of the folks I'd like to meet are my former co-mods....Mallory, the 4th Hanson Bro, T'Bonz (we almost met once, but...), jkladis (same story), Holdfast (so we could talk shop, not fashion), Captain Ice, Neroon (so we could rock out to Rush all night), JKTim, and of course, Top41.

Although I'm not a big fan of meet-ups, I think it would be "interesting" to meet those on my Friends List and perhaps some posters in the SFF Forum with whom I've interacted and shared mutual interests.

To say who specifically would be too clique-ish, IMHO, and Lord knows this forum has enough Mutual Admiration Society threads in it.

I haven't said much 'cause I don't want to look like one of those creepy stalker types that goes gaga over a hot fellow nerd ("Too late!" -- somebody... see what I've learned from Zion? ), but feel free to PM me if you ever want to chat or hang out or something. I should've put you on my list... not only do you seem like a cool poster, but you're actually someone I could feasibly meet in real life! The same goes for others in the G.T.A. too, like TorontoTrekker, Ruaidhri, NickInABox, Trippy, etc.... Maybe we should plan something in the Meet-ups forum one of these days.
