BATMAN Comic books

^^ Generally, comic book threads are posted to Science Fiction and Fantasy. :)

The X-Men exceed even Batman. This month's titles, excluding guest appearances, are as follows (ongoing series are highlighted in bold):

Cable
Dark X-Men: The Beginning (Two Issues)
Dark Wolverine
Exiles
Genext: United (Semi-ongoing; the second in a planned series of miniseries.)
New Mutants
Ultimate X-Men: Requiem (Semi-ongoing; last issue before relaunch.)
Uncanny X-Men
Uncanny X-Men: First Class (Semi-ongoing; the latest of series of miniseries which has lasted several years.)
Wolverine: First Class
Wolverine: Origins
X-Factor
X-Force
X-Men: Forever (Two Issues)
X-Men: Legacy

I chose to exclude the two Deadpool comics scheduled for release this month, including his own ongoing series, one ongoing series, Astonishing X-Men, is briefly on hiatus as the title switches artists, and one ongoing series, Wolverine: Weapon X, is not scheduled for release this month.

:wtf:

When the hell did they bring back Cable?

This kind of question, I think, suggests we need a COMIC BOOK forum as much as anything 'outside' of TREK we have already. (Hint hint great overseers)

Rob

Cable was in Cable/Deadpool for 50/75 issues, and then after the Messiah Complex crossover (2008? 2007?) he got his own solo series again.

These would cost minimum $21 today. Probably more since wasn't Batman Fmaily a more expensive oversized book?

Today if you wanted to read every Batman book it would be:

Batman
Detective
Batman & Robin
Batman: Streets of Gotham
Superman/Batman
Super Friends
Batman: The Brave and the Bold

Plus the occasional All-Star Batman and Robin whenever Miller and Lee deign to put out an issue.

... and while not strictly Batman, add the new spin offs: Red Robin and Gotham Sirens. In either trade or monthly (including the last two titles on your list which I buy for young children) I get all of these.

I most of the Batman titles, myself. I get the Green Lantern books when they come out as well plus the Star Wars comics. I try and keep each week's load under $10 and I usually am successful although Blackest Night may up it a little.

It stars his evil son Daken masquerading as Wolverine as a secretly evil "super hero" for Norman Osborn.

Aren't all the Batman books on hiatus? I thought they were doing that Fight for the Cowl thing and then they were planning on restarting with just 2 books - Batman and Robin (not with Bruce Wayne and Tim Drake) and then Red Robin and also a Batwoman title.

Which would make it very confusing for a Batman collector.

Let me ask folks this - I recently went back and read Batman and Son, The Resurrection of R'as Al Ghul, The Black Glove and Batman RIP (links are for amazon) - which I am told is all I needed to have for pre-Final Crisis stuff. Does this mean that the above trades collects all the different Bats titles or only the "Batman" line of books? How does it fit with what's being covered in other Bat mags and their Continuity?

^ Those only cover the main "Batman" title by Morrison, save "Ressurection" which was a crossover and contained every issue from all the titles. I don't believe the other Bat titles had anything to do with FC.

BATTLE FOR THE COWL is over and the hiatus is over. They canceled ROBIN. NIGHTWING, and BIRD'S OF PREY and replaced them with RED ROBIN, STREETS OF GOTHAM, and GOTHAM CITY SIRENS. Batwoman is currently the lead in DETECTIVE.

;)when i started reaing comics they were only 25 cent a copy i could buy 4 for $1! but that was 1974 that was good oid days! bye take care

When does the new Batgirl comic begin? I am intrigued by the promo art.

Dark Wolverine
Aw geez, do they really have a title actually called "Dark Wolverine"? It could be a masterpiece for all I know, but lord, that title makes it sound horrible. What's next? Dark Lobo?

Next we'll have Dark Legends of the Dark Knight that are Dark.

:shifty:
