The WIKIPEDIA game! --Find something new!

I was randomly clicking around Wikipedia (apparently I do this often) and I ended up on a page about "Cabinets of Curiosities." Essentially, this is a place for trinkets and items in a place you are unable to traditionally categorize. Pretty interesting. So... how did I randomly end up on this page?

Started on Wikipedia Page:

District of Columbia was a separate municipality until the
District of Columbia Act of 1871 which revoked the charter of the city of
Georgetown also the home of the embassy of
Thailand a newly-industrialized country thanks to famous
Tourist Destinations made popular by
Visitor Attractions like
Zoos the root of which is
Zoology (study of animals) which branches into
Paleontology established in the 18th century as a result of
Georges Cuvier's work on comparative anatomy and
Natural History whose museums evolved from
Cabinets of Curiosities

Phew.

Your Mission: "Surf" Wikipedia until you find a page on something you've never heard of or that you find interesting. If it's not interesting-- you don't have to stop. THEN, use your back button to track how you arrived.

I might give this a shot, given that I find all sorts of random stuff on the Wiki network...

We could even set up challenges, getting from one topic to another merely through clicking Wiki links (and without editing of course ;)) in the shortest amount of clicks. Of course, as the content is changing all the time, new paths can be found.

Yeah, some of my friends and I used to do that. We called the game "The Wikiest Link" :p

I used to do this with Internet Movie Database. I will still do it from time to time. But needless to say it filled my brain with completely useless movie trivia. Never ever play a game of "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon" with me. Actually you should never play "Scene It" with me either.

We can combine the two: Wiks Degrees of Kevin Bacon :bolian:

Okay then here's one - which may be simple I've no idea it's just the first thing that came to mind.

Kevin Bacon to USS Enterprise NCC-1701 (using wiki - in the same way Danoz did)
