I found the show entertaining, and sometimes it's good just to be entertained without having to think too much about the show. It was enjoyable, and I will return for next week. I also got the Friday 13th t.v. show vibe from it, which is interesting that it brought back that memory since I haven't seen 13th show in over a decade.

With a majority of the SyFy shows filming in Vancouver, I feel like I'm becoming a long term tourist without ever leaving my couch.

Well, she's okay in small doses.

She had some of the funnier exchanges on "Buffy."

But here BSG stuff didn't do much for me. Of course, by the time she was with the show, I was pretty much only watching it out of pity.

AFA the avatar. I actually used to have one with the hammers walking. But I couldn't find it anywhere. I checked all my backup CDs (well most of them) and didn't see it. Even tried a Google with no luck. I'm hoping I can find it by December. (30th anniversary.)

Re: the car. My assumption was that it takes one person's energy to carry one person's weight. So one person can run the car alone. But three people all need to be "powering" the car or there isn't enough juice to move all three people.

While I haven't seen the show yet, I just have to say that's a pretty faulty argument as you're ignoring the weight of the car. If two people can power the car, then obviously that's enough to carry the weight of two people plus the car. Since the car's weight will stay the same, the more people you add the fewer people (compared to the whole) will be needed to power it.

What is wrong with you people?

I told you twice, they clearly showed Artie hook up a battery to the car to power it when he rode it by himself.

Secret Service Agents don't wear body armor. Bullets might ricochet and hit the president.

Ricochet off of Kevlar? They also need to consider that if a Secret Service agent is shielding the President with his body then he can stop a bullet more effectively with body armor. Unarmored a bullet can pass right through them and hit the President.

Was this shot in Toronto? Because I'm pretty sure I've been in the room where the Italian Professor had his office.

The Scifi channel combined with wet streets in the "D.C." scene just makes me assume the Vancouver area. Did the Syfy channel find a new Canadian location?

Well, Toronto is the ghetto Vancouver after all.

It's just funny though. UofT has been featured as a generic university in so many shows and movies now that I can instantly recognize it.

Most recently, it was "Harvard" in the pilot episode of Fringe.

The first area really did look like D.C. but I laughed as soon as I heard South Dakota because I knew it was just a ploy to get them into the sticks of Canada. Skiffy really knows how to cut costs in production...

Maybe they exist in the same Universe and some of Eureka's items are stored there.

One of the great rules I learned over the years is: Never judge a show by its pilot, unless it really Really REALLY sucks.

Most pilots are full of exposition and setup, which can get a little long winded and dull sometimes. The real test will be seeing what a normal ep is like. I am curious enough to check it out. Besides, anything with CCH Pounder in it is at least worth a look.

I wonder when they will do the episode where they discover that one of the dangerous items is a titanium rod that has been jammed up Mika's rear end for years.

Yeah, he said unbunch your panties and then he told her to do something else. She said how do I do that and he said which one? That was funny.

It was fun, the characterizations were good, and it strongly resembles one of my fave RPG sourcebooks, so I'll probably check it out again. Watching their new add campaign, I did have to wonder though - how many "Secret organization keeping X hidden from the general public" shows can one network support?

And yes, they showed him hooking up the battery to the "rollbar".

I took issue with the 1920's video phone, unless it had modern cellular technology how can it transmist real time video bandwidth states apart. This show could have easily ben a Stargate spin off when you think of all the things the SG teams had stored at Area 51.

I feel like I should apologize for startin' all the thread's nonsense about the car.

I tuned out & got ready for work after the car ground to a halt when she let go of the bar.

Still have the pilot on my DVR...I may watch it all the way through this weekend.

I'll watch a couple more episodes as is my usual routine with a new show. As for this one; it started out okay but lost me when people started being taken over. The end somehow reminded me of a Nightstalker show. As for a grade, I did record it but deleted the recording as I don't think I'll watch that episode again.

I looked her up I still don't know where I know her from. She does remind me of Mirella from Air Wolf.

That was a pretty decent pilot. I like the cast (Joanne Kelly is just stunning) so I'm just hoping they can improve the "artifact of the week" stories.

And the bit where the Italian professor covered himself in gasoline and lit himself on ire totally reminded me of a similar scene on Supernatural.
