Bring back Crucible!

I do think it would sell a lot better if they also announced there would not ever be a paper edition.

Didn't help "The Magic of Tribbles: The Making of 'ST: DS9: Trials and Tribble-ations'".
I don't know how many times I tried to download that eBook. It was at least ten times. And it never successfully downloaded. I don't know where the problem was. Eventually I didn't care anymore.

Um.. no. And if you read the other thread on trade paperbacks, you'll find a lot do not like them at all.

I thought that's why he said it.

Clearly, Ian knows me better than JWolf does.

I do sometimes wonder where all the hardcore ebook people around here now were when SCE was struggling to survive. I'm not crazy about ebooks, but I bought a crapload of them to keep the SCE line alive.

Speaking for me, I didn't think a good eBook reader existed yet.

If they'd just waited until the Kindle came out, I would've been all over that. And still will be, once I catch up.

The SCE series came out in 2000. There were not the eBook readers that there are now. Most people either had small palms/cell phones, computers, or laptops to read eBooks with. Now there are a number of eBook readers out there with more on the way. I do feel that if the SCE eBooks were to have started now, sales would be better then they were. The timing was just off by 7-8 years.

Once I had a Sony Reader, I did purchase all of the SCE eBooks.

When I saw this thread title I thought "but it's finished", and then wondered whether the OP would be calling for subsequent books in the series, like "Crucible: Scotty", "Crucible: Doctor M'Benga", and eventually "Crucible: Unnamed Helm Officer #5". I prefer the version in my head. ;-)
