I had the good fortune to interview her back in 1996, and she was one of the nicest, most welcoming, famous-type people I've had the privilege of meeting. Very pleasant, and you could imagine that in her youth she'd have been the sort of woman who you initially might not notice, but would then realise was far more appealing than the obvious beauties.
