Yeah I'm annoyed that they're bringing Zod back again...this is one of the problems they have to deal with by not having Clark become Superman faster and just telling stories to milk the series. They're started to rehash stories now. Zod was tricked by Clark and I think J'onn and sent back into the Phantom Zone at the end of the seventh season's premire because that is where we got the cool CGI rendering of Terrence Stamp.

    Interesting news from TVGuide:

BAG's The Body Politic may not be as dead as people thought. It's being rumored to be a midseason replacement now.

I just have to say this though: BAG playing a Washington Power Player is something that is just too farfetched for me.

It was the 6th Season premiere. 7th Season opener had Bizarro. ;)

    No, see, he's a Washington Power Player...that's a robot!!! :p

In any case, if his other series has the possibility of pick-up, I am assuming that BAG knew this before signing onto Smallville, maybe Metallo is just a Morgan Edge/Toyman style guest spot then?

^ Yep. We don't know how old Zod was when he was captured. It is very possible that he was 32 (or thereabouts, depending on where they take the story).

Terrence Stamp probably wasn't much older than that when he portrayed Zod in Superman II.

Stamp was 38 in 1977, so not too far off.

Smallville Season NINE (Zoinks!) is debuting Friday September 25 on CW with the episode Savior! The next episode is called Metallo. Also it seems that casting is looking for two sexy females named Alia and Fiona, Alia has some kind of ties with Krypton. Interesting.

Two things should occur this season:

    Flights

    Tights

Any more of theis "Red/Blue Blur" shit, and I'll be a blur to the next channel. Especially after that lackluster of a season finale.

There aren't going to be flights or tights this season. It's Smallville--Clark Kent before Superman. That's it. You should migrate over to my show. Lucifer himself will be kicking around. Things actually happen.

I remember when John Glover played Lucifer. Those were the days.

Yeah...I'll be checking out Supernatural among other things if Smallville keeps up with the Red Blue Blur as well. Remember though Dorian, Clark Kent at least for the time being is dead! Long Live Superman! I doubt we'll see any flying or costume this season..

I recall Witwer saying about the time he finished with The Force Unleashed that he and George Lucas did discuss him playing a character in the TV series.

Starkiller!!! Oh and both those covers look sweet...I like the single disc one, the two disc one reminds me of the trade cover. I'm still curious as to why no audio commentary.

Here's my idea of the final scene in the series finale of Smallville:

Clark is busy Red/Blue Blurring around Metropolis. The camera pulls back and pans above the city skyline into the sky where it stops on two figures: Superman (in costume) and Metron in his Mobius Chair. Superman turns to Metron with a raised eyebrow of confusion. Metron, saying nothing, shrugs, opens a boom tube and enters into it, followed by Superman. Fade to black
