Pitchmen Marathon on Discovery

In honor of Billy Mays' death, "Pitchmen" has a marathon going on on Discovery this Wednesday begining at 10am and going until 10pm. It's a series I've never watched as its premise didn't interest me but in the light of Mays' death I may give it a look. :)

I didn't think they had that many episodes either. Maybe Discovery is packaging all of them for the marathon and putting something else in the Pitchmen slot.

Episode listing: (Times are Central Daylight)

10a "Crunch Time"
11a "A Tale of Three Billys"
12p "Grater Education"
1p "Digging for Dollars"
2p "Spinning Green"
3p "Tool Guys"
4p "Spotting Talent"
5p "Smells Like Gold"
6p "From the Jaws of Victory"
7p "High Impact Item"
8p "Dual Saw Shuffle"
9p "Revenge of the Pitchmen" (New, Regular Timeslot)
10p - 12a: Reruns of the 7p - 10p episodes (normal for Discovery to repeat the "Primetime" shows in these time slots.)

All episodes have previously aired -aside from the new one in the regular timeslot- and I believe they have one more episode "in the can" to air next week.

The show started airing in early-March, giving them... Hey! 12 epsidoes to air!

I saw two of these a month or so ago - semi-amusing/interesting enough, but nothing I've watched again. I can see why Billy died. He was really stressed and worked up all the time.

I believe tonight's episode, which has been re-cut to acknowledge Mays' death, is the 12th and final episode of the season. Unsure if the show will come back.

Well, I think the commercials are advertising it as the "season finale", implying it's not the end and that it will be back.

I would imagine that Discovery executives, not wanting to be too haste in their decision, are going to let some time pass, give Anthony Sullivan (who, don't forget, is the co-creator and co-producer of the show) some time to heal and breathe, and re-assess the program in a few months' time.

Aside, I wonder if all those one-off infomercials he made and are still active will have to be redone with a different pitchman?

It may seem trivial but his infomercials were someone's shot at success.
