No saucy stuff in here! ;)
I just wanted to know how many languages do you speak or have you learned.

Me? Nine!

1) French,
2) English (duh!),
3) German,
4) Italian,
5) Latin (2 years in high school, still a few things remain),
6) Arabic,
7) Danish (took 1 year in college but I forgot everything except that Venstre means "Left" but it's the name of a right-wing party!),
8) Luxembourgian (ok, 15 conversational items, but still!),
9) American Sign Language (the sister of a close friend of mine is deaf, that's helpful).

Wish list:
Japanese and Spanish. Hope to make it someday.

How about you?
:)

English and Japanese, and that's plenty for me. Though one of my Chinese friends has been trying to get me to learn Mandarin for a while now. We'll see if she ever succeeds.

1) Dutch
2) English
3) Swedish
4) Latin (6 years in high school)
5) German (3 years in high school)
6) Greek (3 years in high school)
7) French (3 years in high school)

Chin up! you're shameless, dammit!

Well ... i can hold my own when it comes to Klingon. I know a few words and phrases ...

Sadly I'm the same. I guest MC'ed a charity gig recently and pretended to speak to the Russian guy in the main event in his native language to try and push the whole fact he's Russian.

He busted me for speaking Klingon to him :(

I used to be quite fluent in German, but I haven't spoken it for a while. I'm still trying to wrap my head around Glasweigan.

I speak only English (including regional Scottish and English variants), but in school also studied German, French, and Latin, and some Italian (mostly through music), BASIC (BBC BASIC and QBASIC), and COMAL. Have also had small (i.e. now forgotten) exposure to Spanish, Czech, Scots Gaelic, and Welsh, but am also familiar with a little Arabic, LOGO, the Chav language, 13375p33k and lolcat. :bolian:

Aww, he outed you.

A bit of English.
Some German (with a Hamburg accent).
Several attempts have been undertaken to teach me a couple of other Nordic languages, French and Latin -none have succeeded though.

1) English
2) Southern Fried English
3) Midwestern English
4) Northeastern English
5) Canadian English
6) Bad English
7) Redneck
8) Asshole
9) French
10) French Asshole

J.

1. English
2. French (I studied for 4 years in high school, but I've forgotten a fair amount.)
3. Pig-Latin

I can also get the general idea of simple Spanish and Italian if I'm reading it, and I'm trying to teach myself Latin. It's going slowly.

Wish list:
Spanish, Mandarin, Hebrew, Arabic

English
3 years of Spanish . . . only retained about a year of it though (least favorite class behind
math)

I know a scattering of words in most European languages (mostly hello, goodbye, yes, no)

wish list: Russian
