From zap2it.com - "Bill enlists Eric's help to save Sookie after she is attacked by a mysterious creature; Jessica finds a willing suitor in Hoyt; Tara finds her attraction to Eggs interrupted by a swirling fog."

Here we go, two down already.

Ok, lots of fun things happening here ... First up, the Rev's wife giving Jason her "special" pudding, which is so obviously letting us know they're going to boink, sooner or later.

Then Eddie's return ... even for a little bit, it was awesome!

MaryAnn's party ... Ok, we've got over a dozen completely full-frontal nekkid women, most of them of the "chesty" variety, and the only male we get ... well, we get one, with less than two frames worth of "frontal" and he's .. um ... well, heck, I am in better shape than that guy. That's just wrong. Come on, HBO. Remember what we got from James Purefoy in Rome? Let's see the goods.

LaFayette didn't die (last episode). The cliffhanger ending sure made it seem like he would. Now he's back, and just a wee bit skittish.

Awww, Hoyt, bless him. He's such a sweetie. :) He and Jessica could make a really nice couple, a contrast to what we'll soon have with Sookie and Bill.

And Daphne. Twas nice knowing ya, gal. lol

Oh, and we got to see The Doc way early. I wonder if her part's going to be expanded?

Excellent jam packed episode!

The ending cracked me up...daddy breaking up the make-out session  "I wasn't gonna bite him!"

Sookie got healed with the doc and Bill alone in contrast to the books...I'm glad they're veering off Eric/Sookie and making it Eric/Lafayette :techman:

LOL@ the petticoat scene 'you're such a tease'

And just why is Sam leaving? And Daphne! Nice...scratches!

Jason will say "the pudding is delicious", cuz "I'm that type of guy."

Glad Lafayette is still human.

The Minotaur (what else to call it) attacking Sookie was a surprise (to me).

I like how Sookie noticed how much evil their is in her world now.

Daphne's got some secret, cuz normal folks don't exist on this show.

Again, another episode severly lacking in William Sanderson, his brother Daryl and his other brother Daryl.

2 weeks until another episode...booooo!! :(

I wonder how this situation with Lafayette and Eric will play out? It seems pretty clear Eric is out to terrorize him but to what end?

Am intrigued by the Minotaur-beast-man thing and how it will figure into later episodes.

I got the shivers when the healer had her fingers in Sookie's wound. yeeeehh

I still feel like we're still setting up for the meat of the story to come.

I'm OK with this.

Though they need to get Tara topless at some point.

So how do these compare to the books? Are they doing justice to them?

So how do these compare to the books? Are they doing justice to them?

I'd estimate about 5% is from the book, 95% is new. Lafayette was the body in the car, in the book, so this is all new. Sookie's motivation for going to Dallas is vastly different, Jason is barely name-dropped in the second book, and we get don't even hear about the Fellowship until ... well, much later in book 2.

As for the minotaur, that's MaryAnn ... they've already dropped less than subtle hints about her, and this is just more of it. Looks like she also got Daphne, and as we learned in this ep, without treatment, it's a very quick death sentence.

Awesome show.. that one is truly firing on all cylinders.

I love it that they are still setting up the main theme for this season and the episodes just flow so nicely together. True Blood is definitely must see TV for me.

However it became much gorier now.. Eric dismembering the poor redneck, Lafayette ripping out the fake hip thing from the severed leg, the Doc digging into the wound etc.. eeek!:eek:

And what do you all complain for about the nudity? You got Jason topless at least once every 15 minutes and that black dude has also one damn fine body (and is also topless every 15 minutes). And those have way better bodies than most women on the show.. if we'd have female equivalents there would have been supermodels running around

Friends of mine already told me that the show differs fundamentally from the books which make the spoilers above truly maddening.. hey, some of us wanted to read the books! Thanks for the spoilers! :scream::scream:

Great show, great episode.
When I watch this show, I know that HBO's A Game Of Thrones adaptation will be great too.
