New Buck Rogers film?

Miller's theatrical film (assuming it gets made) isn't the only Buck Rogers revival you'll get to see. James Cawley, the guy behind the fan film series Star Trek New Voyages/Phase II is currently working on a Buck Rogers internet series. He was even able to get Gil Gerard to join the cast (not as Buck though, of course)! Official website

Off topic, but I saw Gil Gerard on the Discovery Health Channel yesterday. In Action Hero Makeover we follow him from a morbidly obese 355 lbs to around 200 lbs after gastric surgery. He looks good again and deserves our congratulations.

Anyway, so I go on-line to IMDb and look up the show to check a few actors (and Erin Grey) and I see IMDb has an entry for a Buck Rogers film? (I guess) for a 2011 release. Anybody hear anything about this?

Bucks creator died in 1940, which makes 2010 the 70th anniversary of the death of the creator. Shouldnt Buck be Public Domain when that happens? Not sure about that. Maybe the date is not a coincidence.

not alicia siverstone.she is a horrible faceless actree.

saw her batman?

awful.

get britner spears or christina aguliera instead or even scarleet johanns or hilary duff.kids can relate to hillary duff.

Jill Wagner as Wilma!

Oh yeah...never thought of her...she'd be great. Even has a bit of Erin Grey look to her too.

And as for another possible Buck casting, how about Joe Flannigan...he ain't doing much lately is he?

Damn. That's pretty impressive.

Congratulations, indeed.

But surely the show wasn't camp in the 70s?

That was their culture's version of classy?

They didn't know no better.
