Retro Computer Gamers of the world unite!

they had BBC Micro's at my priimary school. we used to play Chucky Egg and Space Pilot on it. i much preferred Space Pilot.

for those not in the know, Space Piot was a side-on flying game where you flew a fighter jet against WWI biplanes, then advanced to WWII Messerschmitts, Vietnam and helicopters the Falklands and Harriers and then flying saucers in the future. the WWI boss was a zeppelin, the Vietnam one was a Chinook.
Sounds like a Time Pilot clone. Not that that's a bad thing - some of those clones had cool stuff the originals never did.

no, i thinkit was 'time pilot' and i got the name wrong. hey it's 20-some years...!

Definately Time Pilot. One of my favorites! I still play it on the DS from the Atari Arcade Classics for gameboy advanced.

Don't know if this counts but my dad bought me a PC Jr. when I was about 9 or 10. First game I owned was called Big Top.

I was born in '83, so a lot of the older consoles and computers are a bit before my time. I do remember my Dad having a Commodore 64 though, and I can remember playing some of the classics on it, like Donkey Kong and Pole Position.

Impossible Mission ruled the Earth!!

"Another visitor. Stay awhile... staaaaay FOREVER!" :D

Also loved the Friday the 13th game and Epyx's Summer/Winter Games... and a few more games for which I cannot remember the title...

We had a C64 (my dad still has it actually). "Wasted" a lot of hours on Airwolf, Fire Ant, Summer/Winter Games, Donald Duck's Playground, Boulderdash, Pitstop 2, Super Pipeline 2, Wizards and Warriors ? and something with a guy running through a building and behind each door he entered there was a new game to be played. Have always been surprised that those joysticks kept going.

Ahhh! Donkey Kong, Poll Position and Space Invaders on the Atari 2600! Those were the days!

Computer wise my first PC was an 8088 processor with an Hercules hi-res (720x348) monchrome display and 1Mb of RAM. What did I do with that much RMA back then? I have no freaking idea.

Hell, I was playing Pong in bars with a beer in my hand before most of you were born. And there were lines you had to stand in before you could play.

The first computer games I ever played were Hunt the Wumpus and Star Trek on a timeshared teletype while in college.
