Do you mean the frame with the baby in the avatar above? I think it might be due to loss of image quality after transferring the image from jpg to gif. I usually start out with png or psd format in order to lose as little as possible.

Hmm... that's probably what it is. What puzzles me is that it doesn't happen all the time, and it isn't affected by cranking up the image quality (which with the file type wouldn't necessarily help I guess). It is really noticeable sometimes, and doesn't happen others.

Which program do you use for your animated gifs? I used CoffeeCup Gif Animator when I first started out and it made some of the images look like the ones in your Jem'Hadar avatar. Perhaps it's an issue with your gif animator?

I'm using GIMP, now that it has stopped crashing. What's odd is that I'm pretty sure I was editing a jpg, saving it as such, and had the same problem recently.

hmm... i was making this for something on ASN... and it kinda fits for the random theme...

so i guess that's my entry. sam's sort of a side kick, right? (and he's only my favorite character in all of fiction <3)

Try to update Gimp if you haven't already. Perhaps that might fix the problem.
