Ghostbuster III soundtrack

I've been playing Ghostbusters: The Video Game on the PS3 lately, and to set the mood, I've been listening to my Ghostbusters and Ghostbuster II soundtracks. And then I thought about the new movie.

Both CDs seemed to take advantage of artists that were "big" or "popular" at the time.

Ghostbusters, for example, had:

Ray Parker, Jr.
The Bus Boys
Air Supply
The Thompson Twins

Ghostbusters II had:

Bobby Brown
Doug E. Doug and the Get Fresh Crew
Run DMC
Elton John

It got me wondering who would be on a soundtrack to the third flick. Who would you/wouldn't you like to hear? Here's mine:

Like to hear:

Disturbed
Eminem
The Killers

Wouldn't like to hear:

50 Cent
The Jonas Brothers
Miley Cyrus
Jason Mraz

I may be wrong but I think that it will be related to who is signed to Sony or a Sony subsidiary record company...

This is the most horrifying thing I've ever read on this board.

And I was around for MajorBarcalow.

They should bring back Feargul Sharkey, Falco, and Van Halen, for the third ghostbusters film. :bolian:

Eminem shouldn't be allowed near a microphone, let alone GHOSTBUSTERS.

Besides, while some of the songs worked on "Ghostbusters" (while none worked on the second film), the REAL STAR was always Elmer Bernstein's score. But since he isn't alive anymore, and Randy Edelman didn't do a good enough job on the second film to be coming back (especially since these days he lays hte synths on way too thick), I am forced to come up with a new composer.

I don't think any of today's composers are cut out to be doing the job. So I think maybe Bernstein's orchestrators on that film could come together and do it (David Spear, Patrick Russ and Peter Bernstein).
