Your CC credits should be transferable with the University of Michigan and Michigan State as well.

I'm unemployed too!!! And our aspired-to degrees are only slightly different (for the first year at least we'll probably have identical classes). We really should work together on this. Also, since you're focusing on admin/management and I'm doing marketing, once we have our degrees we should join forces for good and awesomeness (respectively.)Interesting that you should be looking, Kommander. I'm doing the same. I am speaking with people at DeVry, and they're helping me put together a financial package, since I'm unemployed, and the rep was confident that most of my tuition and fees could be taken care of by grants and low interest loans. As much as I like technology, that market is not only saturated, it's sagging, so I am looking at a Business Administration/Business Management degree. An Associates.
I hope you're able to go to college. It only took me 10 years to get to it!

Hmm, I should have graduated high school in 2002. I actually graduated in November of 2003 (class of 2004). So... I waited 6-8 years, depending on how you look at it.
They damn well better. I don't want to go to Wayne State. I'm sure it's at least an OK school, but my ex-girlfriend when there when I was with her, and she used to drag me to the campus every week for her Anime Club meetings (for the record, I don't like anime all that much). Because of that, every moment I'd spend on that campus, I'd be reminded of her, and Ive ben trying very hard for the past five years to forget her. Unfortunately, the part of the brain that allows people to repress memories of traumatic experiences doesn't seem to function in my brain.
Sorry.. no wise words from me.
One of the hallmarks of college/university is that you'll have a shitty job.. delivering Pizzas, telephone agent, cleaning offices, waiting tables etc for those 4 years.
Only the very lucky few get jobs that are very well paid, easy and not a big strain on time.. usually you only get those if you are the son of the boss or have very good connections.
Alternatively you could apply to a heavy work, well paid job for the college free time between semesters and make enough money to last you a semester (with maybe a small job to have steady cash flow) so you can concentrate on your studies.
Good luck.. with your situation it will be very hard but others have managed it before. Just be glad you don't have a kid to support.
