PROTOTYPE

I have to admit that this game looks interesting... can anyone tell me which version is better or easier to control? 360 or PC?

I havent played the PC version, but the 360 version is very smooth and easy to control. My experience with these kinds of games makes me feel like control with the control pad is better than with the keyboard/mouse

My guess would be that the 360 version has better controls, but you can always use a wired 360 controller to play it on the PC. One thing I have heard is that the PC version is very buggy.

I just mastered the Art of Karatekicking Choppers out of the air! Can this game get any more fun and cool?:lol:

I have the PC version.. so far no bugs i have encountered. It runs stable and decent enough and it looks fine (though i have a very new and good laptop.. older systems might have many problems when the action ramps up with all the smoke and what's going on).

Controlwise it is ok with the keyboard and mouse.. i am used to it by now but i guess having a console controler might make it easier because it is a hassle sometimes to hit the right key in the middle of combat.

One thing that bothers me insanely is that you can't save wherever you are.. the only thing that apparently works is the autosave when you begin a story mission :scream: Or this simply might be a bug.

Edit:

Guys.. you gotta see this! The guy commenting is hilarious :guffaw::guffaw::guffaw:

I definitely think the game looks fun, and I know I won't regret buying it later. But $60 is too much to justify when I'm already sitting on a backlog.

I finally got around to trying this game this weekend. This is by far the most ridiculously hard game I've played in a long time, and it has one of the most complex button mashing schemes I can ever remember.

I don't know what kind of sadistic mind comes up with some of the things they put in video games like this but if I could lay my hands on one of the developers, I'm quite sure I would do my utmost to literally take my game disc and shove it up his ass.

Really? I thought the control scheme was pretty sweet. And you're so ultra-powerful that I wouldn't descibe the game as ridiculously hard- maybe you should get some more EPs and some more powers, what is wasting you exactly?

There are only a few moments in the game which could be described as hard.

I'd say not so much hard as frustratingly over crowded. You can't concentrate on the mission because you're getting attacked on all sides, which would be so bad because you could easily kick their arses, but you have a time limit or a distance limit. Or you have to get in the tank but the other things keep knocking you off hte tank.

Plus I agree the control scheme is fucked. Who came up with press X & B together?

No offense guys, but you are out of your freakin minds. I don't think we're even plaing the same game.

I've had to REALLY restrain myself from throwing my controller through the TV or taking the disc out and breaking it in two. In fact, I'm quite sure that if I hadn't borrowed this game from a friend, the disc would be in several pieces right now.

I didn't find the game hard by any definition.

There was one mission which I had to repeat several times, but that's only because I was too rigid and refused to modify a clearly unsuccessful approach. The checkpointing is generous, and so are the time limits. Even the escort missions aren't challenging.

I know I really suck but I just can't hardly believe that I'm THAT much worse than what y'all are talking about here. Not hard "by any definition?" I think I spent nearly a hour on each of the two first bosses.

I guess I'm just totally out of touch with what gaming is about because there is nothing by "any definition" that I find NOT HARD about this game.

Oh well, I'll guess we'll just chalk it up to one of those things that gh4chiefs simply can't do.

I didn't find it hard. That's all I'm sayin'.
