That is very impressive! It is extremely rare for a movie to increase like that, so far out from the release date!
If Nemesis made a fifth of what Star Trek has raked in so far and sold 2 mil DVDs after it's May 2003 DVD release date, shouldn't we be expecting MANY times that number for Star Trek's Xmas release?
I think 'Fathers Day weekend' might be the ideal weekend to release the next one if this weekends gross is any indication.
You know what's really nice? Seeing Star Trek in the #7 spot of highest-grossing films for Paramount Pictures. It seems like it should have been in there a long time ago considering how big a thing Trek has been for the studio.
