I guess you're just not as big a wimp as I am. I've heard of army folks drinking all night, then going for miles long runs with the hangover from hell. They do say exercise is the best remedy. I guess with a hardcore regime like that, your body can just sweat it all out in a jiffy! I don't think I'll try that next time though...
Speaking of hangover workouts, I once had to sand the wooden floor of half the flat (of about a 100 years or so of grime), along with my cousin who'd foolishly offered to help - we spent half the night chatting and drinking, and woke up feeling like crap - but we HAD to do the sanding the following morning, as large pieces of furniture were being delivered the day after and there simply wouldn't be room to sand when they arrived...
Anyway, here we were with this industrial sized sander. Two puny little girls, working against the clock, with no experience of sanding. Naturally, we both nearly sanded each other's toes off. The damned thing has a tendency to pull you every which way - a very powerful piece of machinery. We had to occasionally yank the cord out of the wall to save ourselves from serious injury. We didn't realise you're supposed to get on your knees to steady yourself and it, we were trying to do it standing up - with flip flops for shoes. Crazy. It ended up taking us a whole day and night. No rest for the wicked, not to mention stupid.
When we were done, the job was far from over, we then HAD to take it back to the hire shop, by hand, via public transport, to the other side of London (there was just no money left for a cab after several large purchases). On top of all that, the thing weighed an absolute ton! We needed to be in time to avoid a massive late fee - I underestimated how long proper sanding actually takes - and booked the thing for a 24 hour hire. Yes, I was a genius alright.
And we did all that with horrible headaches and nausea, but by the time we were done - we felt absolutely great! What a workout. I didn't think it was possible - but it's true. Boy did we sweat and toil with that sanding. I owe my cousin big time. She risked life and toes to help me that day.
