Either way, the movie will cross the quarter-billion mark before she leaves domestic theaters. A record for a TREK movie by any standard, even comparing the previous big winners adjusted for inflation.

I'd say it's a safe bet the earliest draft of the #12 script is already under works.
I read that Paramount wants work to begin on the next one "as soon as possible".

Which means we *MIGHT* see it in theaters as early as Thanksgiving or Christmas of 2011 if they strike while the iron's still hot.

Yah, its kind of hard to think that it won't pass 250 million now. This weekend's numbers really help out. Have to admit, if it makes over 4 million dollars, that is really huge.

Great number. SBD has Trek and LotL reversed, but Trek should end the weekend ahead of it thanks to older audiences.
$250 million is more likely at this point.
I recommend waiting 5 years or preferably 7 before making another film.
This will allow fans to forget what this one was about.
