Looks like I might be going to see Trek tonight for my third viewing....after tonight it will be gone from my local Carmike Cinema and down to two shows a day at the Hollywood, and I prefer the Carmike.

Wow at LOTL struggling to pass 50 million.

I wonder if we are losing 500+ Theaters again this week.

Another good hold. Assuming about the same for tomorrow, and I'm guessing somewhere around $3.5M for the weekend, Star Trek should pass TMP for highest adjusted domestic gross in the franchise in other week or so. :techman:

250M is still a possibility, but if it happens it'll be sometime in late July. The last 5M will be agonizingly slow.

By that point, Chartman will have to fiddle with the format a bit, as the blue bars will become quite... small...

Then, it'll be time for a cigarette.

Well, I did my bit; #17 visit last night.

So, I notice that Sandra Bullock's new movie, "The Proposal," was written by Orci and Kurtzman. I will be interested to see how their foray into comedy goes.

Interesting. I was actually thinking about taking the wife to see that, as she generally likes that genre but hasn't been to see one in a while. I like Ryan Reynolds, so it might be worthwhile.

I might actually go see it, too, just to see how O&K do. I like Sandra, but I rarely see films at the theater, present company excepted. She's filmed a couple here in Chicago, which makes her kind of a home girl, too.

Proposal looks wretched. Zero chances of me seeing that.

I still highly doubt 250 mil is possible.
