How hard is it to make a toy starship? The Enterprise D was supposed to be out, what, early 2008?

The All Good Things Enterprise D is out, and the regular D isn't. How is that possible?

Oh, and when I called Newbury Comics to ask about their starship inventory, the guy said they had "one big one", read NCC-1701-D off of the box, and tried to tell me it had a picture of "Captain Kirk" on it. Big Trek fan, this guy.

Admiral, we have just spent eighteen months redesigning and refitting the Enterprise. How in the name of hell do they expect to have her ready in twelve hours?

By the way, I have to retract my complaint. I just found the Enterprise D. I called a different Newbury comics and they said they had one. I had to explain what a nacelle was in order to determine whether it was the right ship, but it was. And it is sweet.

It seems like a reasonable assumption. And if you're in NH, you're close geographically to where I found mine today, if that's worth anything.

I don't know about online orders. But I had it in my hands yesterday at a Newbury Comics store, and there was someone selling one on eBay the other day and emphasized that it was in stock, not a preorder.
