Just three months to go until its out! Is it to be a flipbook like Fearful Symmetry? Ghemor's story ended about the same time as "What You Leave Behind", more than a year before "Warpath".

AFAIK, it's a regular book.
^Honestly I've been feeling the same way since right after Warpath came out. Don't get me wrong, it was a good read... It's just I didn't feel satisfied with the progression of the larger DS9 story-arc.
Slow, would be a good word for it. Maybe it's just me, but I'm starting to feel like I'm watching Lost right around Season 2 all over again. (Lots of build-up, little payoff.)
Again, there's nothing bad about the DS9 stories themselves it's just the pace at which they're being released is killing their momentum.
If they were still being released multiple times a year, the flow might feel different than it currently does, but as it stands now, I'm going to have to reread Warpath & Fearful Symmetry before picking up The Soul Key. (and part of me is starting to wonder if I care anymore...Again much like Lost right about Season 2)

The good news is I'm pretty sure 'The Soul Key' is the end of the Ghemor arc (finally).

I agree, the slow pace is making it hard to stay interested in the books anymore. I actually had to push myself to finish Fearful Symmetry, and that was after I had nothing else new left to read.
Not to mention some of the content in 'Fearful Symetry' made me go 'WTF?!'
Still, I'm hopeful Soul Key will be better.

I was a little disappointed when the Mirror Universe stuff was brought up in Warpath. However, I do like some of the details added into Fearful Symmetry that'll probably be resolved in The Soul Key -- the concept of a universe where The Sisko failed to step up and become the Emissary. I remember one of the universes had a Borg-Sisko emissary.
I actually thought The Never-Ending Sacrifice was out first for some reason. Oh well, I'm looking forward to both! 
I love the DS9 book series but yes the huge gaps between books have really sucked the life from it. Plus now that the Destiny series has radically altered the Federation what's going on a few years previously in DS9 seems a lot less important. Considering of all the TV shows DS9 made the best use of the political situation of the Federation it's somewhat ironic that they've had to ignore DS9 in Destiny and subsequent books.
I just hope that this is the last we'll see of the Mirror Universe in DS9 novels. I fail to understand why a story line which was used in the show as a bit of fun and to give the regular cast a chance to ham it up has been used so much in the novels of late. I'm getting as bored of the Mirror Universe as I was of the Borg before Destiny.

It's time for the DS9 relaunch to resolve the mirror-universe story and finally get back on track with the Ascendant storyline. They've been dragging it out for years at this point. Unfortunately, it doesn't sound like either of the books being published in 2009 will touch on the subject matter. Lame.
I agree, Warp Coil. Really hoping The Soul Key spans as big a chunk of time as Open Secrets, at least. It'll still be behind, but not nearly as far.
The DS9 relaunch is probably my favourite Trek lit series, so I'm definitely impaitent for, and eagerly anticipating, both "The Soul Key" and "The Never-Ending Sacrifice". Hopefully, the former will push forward the Ascendant-Eav'oq-Hand of the Prophets arc as well as the new Myriad Emissaries-Ghemor arc. I'm also wondering if "The Never-Ending Sacrifice" will finally tell us once and for all what the Bajora-Hebitian connection is, given that Rugal is a Cardassian raised by (presumably) religious Bajorans. There's a certain story idea I have, a scene that's lodged into my mind relating to this point, and it would be wonderful if I've actually gotten it right. Whatever happens in these two novels, though, I'm sure I'll enjoy them, given my appreciation of both author's previous works and the relaunch in general.
I used to love the DS9-R to death; these days, I still really like it, and have enjoyed the recent novels, but due to the scheduling changes and delays, the story is kind of dragging. Aside from that, the "Crisis on Infinite Kiras" arc is tad bit convoluted. I'm hoping The Soul Key puts it to bed and we can move on to more interesting, dangling plot threads (such as the Ascendants and the fate of the Dominion). Just my $0.02.

Well, it's not like DS9 didn't have multiple story arcs running concurrently. It's just that the unexpected delays in the book line have made the gap in the Ascendant storyline more pronounced than was intended.
