Thursday (6/11) Box Office - Trek #5 - $1 million

At the local theater here depending on the show time, there are still lines (albeit shorter) of people buying tickets for TREK.

Also, I know a few people who are going this weekend for the first time to see it because they wanted the crowds to die down and weren't that eager to see the film opening weekend.

I think that crapfest LOTL and The Hangover will likely have big fall offs this weekend. Although NOTM2 may have run its course as well as those who wanted to see it saw it and others like me, are content to wait for the DVD. PiXAR's flick will probably retain it's audience and stay in the top 5.

Doubtful about the Hangover dropping a lot. It has had ridiculously strong weekday numbers the likes of which have really only been recently seen by Dark Knight and Star Trek. The film made over $27 million Monday-Thursday. Even Trek only made $25.4 million its first Monday-Thursday and that was a surprisingly strong number. It should still make $30+ million this weekend.

LOTL will probably drop a lot...at least 55%.

I cannot believe I've seen it 5 times already. (And I'm not a hardcore Trekker)

(I am a hard core nuBSGer however) but this movie gives me the early 1980s good times kick ass movie "feeling" so the more it makes the better.

That's great...! :)

By the way, any predictions from mason for the weekend? Haven't seen 'em yet...

Not yet. Might be because nothing interesting is coming out this weekend.

Oh I'm sorry. Well I went to see it for the seventh time yesterday, because my sister and brother-in-law thought it was a good idea after we had a few drinks. It was a good idea. It's the best (only?) way to party in Hannover (going to the cinema I mean), because this place is boring as hell. Apparently, we aren't the only ones who think that.

For a good time, visit Bavaria...! :p
