Saturday Night Quiz

I have written down two words on a piece of paper.

They are the two shortest words in the English language that start with a vowel, and contain all 5 vowels. (the start vowel is included in that 5)

What are both words?

As usual, please PM me the answer.

And the only reason I posted this early was because last night I looked at the clock and saw that it was, like, 12:45, and I thought that Friday was actually Saturday, and today was going to be Sunday. That's what happens when you work eight days in a row...

do you mean they have the 5 vowels shared between the two words, or 5 vowels per word (ie, there are two possible answers).

Or are there five different vowels (any of which could be repeated in theory) per word (as opposed to five only)?

And by "English language" are we talking concise version, or full OED with scientific terms and other erudite and obscure esoterica? [Quit stalling again - everyone]

Hmm, under Jadzia's alternate rules, "obscure esoterica" could be the answer. :rommie:

Too bad I have no idea what the real answer is.

This will require actual research....

^^ Well, from your question about the vowels being shared by both words.

^^ Certainly not together with me. :rommie:

I'm not sure now if my guess was wrong or if Nick forgot to mention me. Or if he really expected me to know off the top of my head. :rommie:

Probably was wrong....

Me too!

I managed to figure out a word that fit the question, but not two - let alone more than two that would mean I could pick the two shortest!
