I'd only just heard about this, and since I haven't seen a thread for it...

Entitled simply '9' Its another stop-motion style picture Produced by Tim Burton. Looks interesting (sort of like the latest Terminator movie, but with puppets :)) And hell, I'll support any animated movie that doesn't feature a crop of wacky talking animals.

Ehhh..I've seen the previews. Nothing great, but you never know. Sniffs more like over-hype-see this because it is hip- production that hollywood seems to put out more and more. And DEPP seems, again, to be involved.

I saw the short that started it all, and it was absolutely brilliant. I cannot express how thrilled I am that the guy who made it was given the chance to expand his vision to a full-length movie.

And while Burton's name is attached, it is in a hands-off aspect only. This is not a "Tim Burton movie" ... He is basically shelling out money and lending fame to the title, in the hopes that more people will see it.

I saw the preview a few months ago.

Honestly, it makes it look terrible.

I'm willing to believe that it's just the trailer's fault, but so far that's all I have to go on. So that's all I can say.

We'll see.

Looks interesting... I want to see it, and I'm generally not a fan of Burton's style.

That was...interesting...but what the heck was it about?

Okay, I'm about four Guinnesses deep, so I could be wrong. I used to hold my liquor better than this, but I lost a lot of weight... Anyway, here's what I got.

The world is destroyed. This thing created nine creatures. They are scavengers. Two of them scavenge a light bulb. And a creature kills one. The other one, Nine, fights the creature. Wins.

Then we find out all died. And, also, their souls were in this ball thing. I'm going to watch it again when i sober up.

At any rate, this film looks VERY interesting. The Tim Burton credit means nothing. It's definitely not his style. And I agree, he is overrated, but then again, the fan girls who like him like him for like, two movies, and don't care about films like "Ed Wood" or have seen any of the classic films just about everything he makes is an homage to. After all, I love Sleepy Hollow because it was a tribute to the Roger Corman "Edgar Allen Poe" films.

Heh... Most of his fan girls love him for a movie he neither wrote nor directed... Nightmare Before Christmas....

At least Coraline came out and now he's getting some notice. It's about damn time.
