yeah, but there's something different about him now as opposed to then (during Princess Diaries). at least, to my eyes. he just seems different. in his looks as well as demeanor. I'm inclined to attributing it to a growing sense of confidence in his abilities and also just age.

Great! I loved the Klingon line, made me burst out! Just strikes you suddenly how much Spock must have adapted to Kirk.

I managed to watch that the first time at face value, and still had a good laugh. Now that I've been made aware of the K/S fanbase, it suddenly takes on whole new tones!

Personally, I thought Spock's reaction to seeing Kirk alive after he thought him dead in Amok Time, was amazing. The Vulcan was literally beside himself with emotion, and then back to the deadpan face immediately - that crack in the facade was like the Grand Canyon for a time. This was perhaps the very first time it was made clear to us how much Jim means to him. Powerful. Just as powerful as our first "I am, and always shall be, your friend" in my opinion.

and by the time the syndicated run went halfway, almost all the actors knew about the phenomenon and had a big laugh about it. Nimoy and the Shatman enjoyed it no end. hence, that reference in STV was no accident.

Okay, I saw these caps and kind of had to post them.

I think what I like best about his look (at least in his more recent looks) is how well he pulls off looking both a little rough around the edges, and yet still waaaay pretty.
