Welcome to the Federation of Personal States

Hmm. Six regions have already tried to recruit me. Anyone have any suggestions?

Ignore them unless you want to do the role-playing side of things. I can't be arsed, to be honest. But they do offer the opportunity to gain regional power, join the UN, etc. There isn't actually a lot you can DO though. NationStates2 is due out soon (or maybe is already out?) and I think offers more scope for activity.

(alternatively, start a TrekBBS region. Mind you, the last time that was tried, things burnt out quite quickly.)

We're considered a "Civil Rights Lovefest" thank-you very much! ;)

Yet you cannot spell defense.

That's a stupid thing to say.

In this country it's spelled defense.

So far, I'm finding it interesting watching the game trying to classify my country based on my whimsical decisions.

At first, it couldn't seem to decide if my country was a "Corporate Police State," or a "Compulsory Consumerist State."

Now I suddenly find myself ruling a nation of "Iron Fist Consumerists". Whatever that means.

It sounds cool, anyway.

It's honestly doing my head in now, I embrace socialism so my economy apparently implodes. I decide to tax the rich more than the poor and it says my tax rate is at 100%. I agree to pay people to donate their organs and now it says students sell their organs to pay for college fees.

It's completely stupid.

Hmm. I'm beginning to see what you mean.

The game asked me how I wanted to respond to a Neo-Nazi rally. I told the police to crush it, since I don't allow politics of any kind

Now, I discover that, in my country, "it is illegal to make racist remarks in public."
