Anyone seen James Cawley of ST: Phase II in the movie?

We need the DVD already so we don't have to shell out $8.50 every time we want to identify background extras or carefully catalog every single pipe in the film or examine the stitching on Kirk's uniform.

Nope, can't say I ever noticed Cawley. I know who he is, but wasn't expecting him or paying attention to some background guys.

It only took me five times to see the film to spot Mr Cawley.

He's actually in two shots (three if you count the cut in one of them).

In the first shot he has to avoid bumping into Chekov (shortly before Pavel proposes to de-warp behind Titan.
The second shot he looks at Spock as he enters the bridge to confirm Chekov's calculations as correct.

In both shots he is holding an electronic clip-board.

BTW: Could it be that one of the Vulcan scientist working on the Jellyfish in Spock's mindmeld-flashback is Jeff Quinn (Spock on New Voyages/Phase II) (the one hunched over an open panel - camera right on the screen)?

Not sure if this has been asked but did anyone one see him in the film, and what part was it seen it 5 times and never noticed him.Do you think he could beome a regualry bit part for him.

Nah, he was there.

With a clipboard by the turbolift after Spock comes back onto the bridge (having relinquished command). Just before they go after the Narada.

I'll have to look for him next time I see it. Has anybody found Dr. Randy Pausch ("The Last Lecture" guy)? I think he has a cameo somewhere as well.

I'll have to look for him next time I see it. Has anybody found Dr. Randy Pausch ("The Last Lecture" guy)? I think he has a cameo somewhere as well.

He's in the first scene - indeed I think he has the first spoken line of dialog in which the speaker is scene. He is walking to screen right on the bridge, and says "Captain, we have visual." He reports on his experience being recruited and shooting this part on his blog, but I don't remember the URL off-hand.

I looked through this thread and saw him in the shot. You're right that his hair is different but I'll look for him in my fourth viewing. Cool that they kept him in the movie.
