This HAS to be a Photoshop... there are far too many light sources from different directions for that to be real... it looks like they just stuck all the cardboard stand ups on the transporter pad and took the picture.

I've wondered about that photo for a good few years. There is something very odd about it. I wondered about the cardboard standees, too.

Great photos this month, Frontier. I think you've excelled yourself this month. I've seen that pic of Montalban since Khan but I've never seen a good enough copy of it to wonder what the hell he was laughing at. Now I see. A mystery revealed! :lol:

I like that pic of Jimmy reading his script, and the photo of Kate Mulgrew is lovely and very unsual.

I've seen the cardboard cut-outs; I don't think they match. Though I could be wrong.

That said, there is another such photo, same season, same horrible-ness in quality and such.

They just got lazy and overly artistic that year.

The worse part is, the physical photo isn't any better in quality. I have it 11x14 and... it's dreck!

My issue with the TNG in the transporter pic, is that it would seem to have strong light sources mid-transporter pad left and right, resulting the washed out look of Crusher and Troi, and then lower power light sources above, and then a single bright light source dead center (evidenced by the reflection on Picards comm badge). However, none of the side actors cast shadows on the middle actors, and how do you account for the right to left shawdows on Picards face... also, a simple analysis of perspective, would indicate Dorn and Frakes are the same height as Spiner, but I know for a fact that isn't true...

Also, take a look at this stand-up of picard... the lighting is similar... but look at the left-arm sleeve of both pictures... that those folds look very similar... http://www.starstore.com/acatalog/Captain Picard Standee Full.jpg
