I think it was on this forum, we were for some reason discussing supermarkets, and I (maybe with input from you guys) suggest an episode where the Doctor comes acrosso a supermarket on a galactic scale, which is exploiting local plants ala Wal Mart

now look

the Doctor goes to a galactic sized supermarket

This is worse than when they stole my idea for a "Bad Wolf" companion, a young woman created by BadWolf, to be the perfect companion (with parts taken from people in history, and possibly other companions), only she was without a personality, and no idea of life, and turned that into Luke.

I dont mind the BBC using my ideas, they just need to pay me & give me credit.

I think you'll find you stole that idea from Paul Abbott's original submission for "Boom Town," so it all evens out. ;)

And it wasn't original when RTD did it in the first season of the new series. Lawrence Miles got that idea going with Sam Jones in Alien Bodies, it was developed further by Kate Orman and Jon Blum in Unnatural History, and reached its final form in Miles' Interference duology.

In some ways, that's what happened to Fitz in Interference as well. And there's a bit of Compassion in that idea as well.

Any writer will tell you, wamdue, that ideas are the easy part. It's the development that matters.

that is the thing where we were to find out that theDoctor went back in time to make Rose a better companion wasnt it?

I can not argue with that.

Just looked up who Fitz is, seems confusing I may have to read up some more before I say anymore.

Basically, there are two Fitzes -- the one who traveled with the Doctor prior to Interference and the one who traveled with him after.

The first is the real Fitz. He was captured by Faction Paradox, became a Father in the cult, and died.

The second is a "remembered" Fitz from the remembrance tanks created by the splinter group The Remote. He's genetically Fitz, but smoothed out somewhat, and his memories are what the TARDIS remembered of him.

There's only one thing for it, Wamdue, you're got to stop them getting in your head...I suggest a tin foil hat...especially at work ;)

or ive got to stop giving my ideas away on the internet until I have had them copyright

ive not done a 3D magic eye in years.

at the end it say "what else did you expect from the director of Clerks"

Aye, he directed/starred in/edited all of the Askewniverse films. And did a cameo in Daredevil. His acting was on par with Affleck, but thats not saying much.

I agree completely, and I've never forgiven Domino's pizza for stealing my idea of putting a layer of cheese inbetween 2 thin layers of crust.

Seriously though, this is why the likes of JK Rowling has bouncers on hand to make sure she never even touches any envelopes handed to her by fans. There's a vast vast difference between a fan having the same idea as a writer and the writer stealing that idea from a fan.

Or, in other words, don't be so conceited as to assume you're the only person to have that idea!

I got an Idea lets... wait let me copyright it first so you have to pay me to think said idea then yeah every time you think of it you need to give me your soul right yeah just your soul that is easy enough and copyright protected as well but then what do I do with all these souls well I guess we get on some train that gets lost in the night .. or what to do with a soul.. quit coping what I do fooo on you too... LOL

I've been considering putting a patent on a headlock. Seriously, I see it in almost every wrestling match, british TV brawl... I'd make a fortune from Phil Mitchel alone.

I still say that galactic supermarket was my idea however

There's a Big Finish Benny audio called The Greatest Shop In The Galaxy. IIRC that was a whole planet!
the Doctor so needs to visit that place, cos after all, he loves a little shop.

but jesus christ I dont think there is anything I could think of Who related that Big Finish have not already done.

and how did Big Finish strike gold, by creating a whole new character worthy of a spin-off?
