24 minus JACK BAUER

I would watch 24 without Jack Bauer if they replaced him with Renee Walker, I thought she was a pretty strong character who obviously had some study of Jack having looked up his profile prior to the hearings. It seemed like this is the direction they wanted us to think in the finale scenes with the interrogation. Now that Freddie Prinze Jr. seems to be a Bauer mold from the character description I read...not sure if I buy that. I've been a casual watcher of the series anyway since season five and six were so disappointing.

I agree...season 7,this past season, was one of the better ones. I just wouldn't buy a female in the title role; sorry. And I can't stand Freddy Prince Jr...they should just end the show. Let it go out on top...

The final season of 24 will be post-apocalyptic, and Will Patton will return as the leader of the bad guys with his "Rules of 8." Jack Bauer will stop him wearing a postal worker uniform.

Or...Will Patton will return when a comet threatens us all, and Bauer has to call upon yet-to-be-seen skills with oil platforms. Hey, Braga is writing this show now..so you NEVER know...

"Jack, we need you to go up into space and torture the asteroid into not hitting Earth."

Maybe a season of 24 with Aaron Pierce as the Hero? He's about the only tough, bad-ass left alive and still a good guy after 7 seasons.

And...a STAR TREK vet!!!

I think he is too old, really, to pull it off. But maybe he gets killed in the next season, and we find out he has a kick ass son!!!! Heck, I could write this stuff!!!
