Oo, I'm only a casual gamer, so I don't have any of the latest generation consols, but now I am really thinking about getting a Wii.
You must be new to Nintendo world. When Nintendo says that SMG2 will be the first time two 3D Marios are on a console that means it won't be released until the Wii Too. 2010 means that it will be delayed to no earlier than Spring 2011, but then it will be delayed until Christmas 2011. It may or may not come out then, could get delayed some more.
Actually I'm a Nintendo vet (owned every system from the NES to the Gamecube), and nothing in Nintendo's history has lead me to believe that what you say will be the case. This is no Blizzard or Valve here The one big exception is Zelda: Twilight Princess, and that was massively delayed so that it could be placed on another console. But if, in the unlikely event, it gets delayed as long as TP was, if it turns out to have half of the content of that game than I will consider it money well spent
You must not be following Nintendo lately because they've really been sticking to release dates. It seems unlikely that Mario Galaxy 2 will suffer from major delays since the team has made a similar game before, they know what they're doing.
links, now, or i'll strand you on Meathook's Island without a rubber chicken with a pulley in the middle
Going back a bit to TOR, I think there's some live video coverage of it on various sites tomorrow but I found this just now. Emphasis mine.
The combat system will determine if I bother to get this though even if its good, If I can only afford 1 MMO and ST wins if good. I have a friends who want to play TOR so am hoping its good enough and cheap enough for me to join them but ST Online is my 1st choice. Any idea on price per month? of TOR
Heavy Rain looks amazing so annoyed its PS3 only and at this rate with a few more games coming out, I may have to get a PS3 eventually but not for at least 18 months.
TOR is totally Austin... at this point, I don't know anything about it that isn't online somewheres. But even if I did, I wouldn't post it unless I could source it from somewhere else anyway
Upon seeing the E3 trailer posted on the PS3, I thought the exact opposite after all the hype with the facial demos and getting closer to the uncanny valley and all that. The demo looks like a 360 or PC game graphically...not exactly the mind-blowing stuff we were led to believe it would be. It'll still be a worthwhile game if it has a good story to tell, which does look to be the case though. EDIT: Here's the E3 09 trailer: http://www.gametrailers.com/user-movie/heavy-rain-e3-2009-trailer/319695
Whereas with the announcement of Perfect Dark for XBLA I'm eyeing an X360 for the first time. Definitely looking forward to Heavy Rain, though.
