I don't like the latest Star Trek trailer

I saw the trailer from joost.org today and I really, really don't like it. Anyone else which has any reactions on it?

I think I will experience the new Star Trek movie to be the worst one I've ever seen. I'm no huge fan of special effects anyway.

It will probably be a good movie, perhaps? But if it even contains, some, parts of the trailer I saw from it, then I will get dissipointed. I just didn't like it.

In general I mostly watch the TNG series which I enjoy.
 
Well, save your money, because this is back to basics, old school Trek and is as far away from TNG as your likely to ever get.
 
Which trailer? Got a link? The trailers I saw were more than convincing but if they'd shown a trailer with handpuppets playing all the key roles, I'd have gone to the movie anyway. Preaching to the choir.

Anyway trailers hardly matter. The new movie is a big-ass success and will be the basis for Trek for some time to come. I just hope they put Trek back on TV sometime soon. I doubt the movie cast will follow but a different 23rd C cast of Starfleeters going boldly etc is fine by me. Two hours every two years ain't nearly enuf! :rommie:

I nominate Christopher Gorham as a Vulcan character. He can be a Rommie spy for added fun factor. Hey, we've never had a main cast character who turned out to be a spy so why the heck not?

The new movie is not whitebread and boring like TNG so you probably will hate it. Sorry, I don't think we're getting anymore Bermantrek.

I just used the one which Joost wanted to show. It was on their first page.
